  1. Figurative. That's what it is about
  2. I am not even getting involved in this discussion. Let's just say I went to war a week ago.

    Mtb Shoes

LBS. Get a proper fitting pair which won't cause blisters.
  4. Majik Forest, Contermanskloof, Hillcrest, Meerendal all in Bellville. Ride your heart out
  5. Lollos.
Tensy jy hom heeltemal uitlock. Hoe lekker skryf ek nou my tale deurmekaar.
  7. 1. Get your setup checked. 2. There is no scientific proof as to why we cramp or what can prevent it. During hard riding it happens easier. Thus most likely overuse. Train more and it should dissapear.
  8. Try Specialized.
  9. I believe for me it did. Depends on how you do it. But like cricket there is no better way than spending time out in the middle. Training properly on your bike is still number one
  10. Anyone in Cape Town looking for a qualiefied CA. My wife's been at home for 3 months.
  11. Maybe you should contact them and not use a public forum for this. I am not taking sides here, but always had good service from them and if they made a honest mistake I can promise you they will fix it
  12. Wear a PROPER Helmet!!
  13. Agree. Can't see myself riding with a camelbak soon again. Just to uncomfortable.
  14. Awesome bike. I have a specialized Epic comp. Started out standard, but completely changed over the last year. No Problems. You cannot go wrong.
  15. I would like to do it again, but would need a new partner as Crankbrother will be Crankfather by then. Do not focus on hills and speed work. Rather go for endurance. Yes. very doable for the weekend guy. I am one
  16. You were not supposed to join my atempt to sound like I know what I am speaking about bro. That is where the choose your partner bit comes in All's well that ends well. Peace crankBROTHER
  17. Road bkie should be fine. The Trans Baviaans is not that technical. Mostly gravel roads. I would say 70% could be done on the road bike. Training that is. Oh - and get a partner that is on the same page as you.
  18. Sorry. See you are in PE
  19. Depends on what you want to achieve/time? Time in the saddle is crucial. Start of with base training for the next 3 months. Long rides (100km +) over weekends Then do some speed endurance for the last bit. On the Trans Baviaans. Don't go out to fast over the first 100km. It only starts after that. Where you based? Do the 100miler if in Cape town. Good time in the saddle
  20. Have you ever experienced carpet burn
  21. Don't care how the bike looks. Mine could be related to a christmas tree anyway. I'd much rather have an ugly looking bike than an annoying backpack and not be comfortable on the bike.
  22. Know it is crucial, but sometimes it is so hard to just do it. I am on a rest week now, and almost feel worse than when training.
  23. I use Specialized cages. Never lost a bottle.
  24. Majik Forest, Hillcrest, Contermanskloof, Meerendal - all in Bellville. Jonkershoek is also a must do.
