  1. Swartberg 100 on the 27th April. It’s also part of the UCI Gravel World Series.
  2. Fair play, you’ve produced a product and not asking for handouts. Nothing wrong. It might pull more sales if you offered branding these and some kind of personalisation for individual orders. Good luck.
  3. Built differently in Alberton, hulle eet nie wat julle eet nie!
  4. Speak to people on the hub as you would anywhere else in life, and you'll get the appropriate response.
  5. Not everything needs to be a Loeries award-winning concept, in fact those often only feed agency ego types. Consistency wins the game, even 3 year olds grasp that. In a challenging economy it's commendable that there are people out there doing something. More power to them.
  6. Built differently here boet. Hulle weet nie wat ons weet…… #stillknocksknocking
  7. Most people mentioned high 40s, I see Jan mentioned he got a reading of 47. Prob fair to say the average ambient temp was likely in the mid 40s. *** warm!
  8. Why? Just do another popular event on the calendar. Heat is a known factor with Atta.
  9. Cirque Cafe gravel loops out south, always fun!
  10. Ja, really represents himself and his sponsors well. Conrad Stoltz is another athlete who I remember as being a completely authentic and loyal representative of the brand. The Caveman was always approachable and sincere with the S products. Still is.
  11. From left- Benno Willeit, Patxi Villa, Bobby Behan, Peter Sagan.
  12. Check in Gauteng Cycling FB or Instagram, they normally post up events. Plus Gauteng Cycling run some telegram groups for infor. Although DH events are few and far between, there are some regular Enduro events. Also keep an eye on the DRI events, Dustin Rudman.
  13. Most of which have a similar spec with wheels tyres. @ChrisF often the effort isn’t worth it, especially if they’re wire bead tyres. Easiest and most hassle free long term is to tape a roll of tyre liner/protection inside the tyre and fit sealant tubes.
  14. @Monique R00s there are also some full suss bikes from @Titan Racing Bikes on display for demo rides at Trailwolf, the bike shop inside Taroko/Modderfontein. Between these and the rental hardtails you should be able to get idea of what fits your needs. Plus the Trailwolf team have a full setup for advice, fitment, servicing, retail etc …
  15. This. Also, quite the attitude from some brands towards local agencies needs a reality check, both in expectations and their business practices/ethics.
  16. More than a ride - “I am the Team Director of Norco Factory Racing. I will race for at least one year and then continue to build a world-beating team with Norco. I have already placed some key staff members…” https://www.treadmtb.co.za/minnaar-extends-his-illustrious-career-with-norco/?fbclid=IwAR0WKWTkdGm0imGLe4njqmgKeYAmdJTwxNEjUa1M1PWOzBJsQTU3e9hR-y8_aem_ARpAitC3VOOqb6PMGbBE7dhrwMShu9yluAlrMpot1ORuZ3gD_MKzL_YAIuvzPicb6lE
  17. That’s some bonafide tenure, there aren’t many bike shops in the world, brands even, who have seen out a timeline like that. Without doubt there’s a wealth of experience, knowledge and insight. A heartfelt congratulations to you and your team. Looking forward to the next part of the journey.
  18. Same same, particularly sleep! A physio/coach friend with an accomplished running background put it into a good context. Basically took an activity load on the body from over an approximate timeframe over an extended period, and compressed it 5times into a shorter period.
  19. Nice Frosty, how are you feeling!? Finished mine this morning, just. Now any extra is just bonus mileage. Won’t lie, feeling a bit knackered!
  20. I’m fine with the shipping, really did it for something different and the socks are nice bonus for it. Would imagine covering the cost of product and shipping could be pretty detrimental to a small business. Hats (socks) off to them for kicking it off.
  21. Also with the Ribble, besides what was mentioned already. They’re one of the oldest bike brands around and they actually do a lot of in-house engineering/R&D etc Plus with the 12 speed you can experiment more with gearing and even look at going 1x12 There’s also a Saffa connection (tenuous) with one of their senior marketing guys, plus a mate recently immigrated to the UK and works for them.
  22. Probably been guilty of that sometimes. Mate showed us how to do a “kudos bomb” on group activities. With the activity open, shake your phone and Strava gives you option to give kudos to to the group with the same activity.
