  1. LOts of riders who did the short route are included in the long route results. A royal f*&%k up this is. hahahhahahaha.
  2. Oh crap! I also did not realize we were bidding on XXXL bibs. Chris, I wear a Medium. I understand i won the auction....but in my life i will never be able to wear these. Let me know if i am liable...if so, i understand and will pay up...but I would appreciate if these could go to someone a bit bigger than me.
  3. Helet is a sweetie, and I'm sure she just smiled at you and you wouldn't have known if they even touched your bike. Just kidding. Glad you got good service.
  4. Cheese! That's right
  5. Very nice. Not sure if the Alma is the full carbon one...or when exactly you got yours, but a mate of mine brought a full carbon Orbea 29er specced with full SRAM XX back from New York about 2 weeks ago. He is LOVING it!
  6. New frame looks great Luke, and I'm sure uou are loving the SRAM group. Sweet records bud. I saw The Strokes live in the US in 2000 just as 'Is this it?' was making waves. Awesome! And the Violent Femmes....teenage memories!
  7. Excellent pics. Thanks a lot.
  8. CRC rocks! Never had an issue....and they immediately replaced a mounting on a light bought from them that broke after 6 months.
  9. I have just started using Strava to save and interpret the data from my Garmin Edge 500...and i am loving it. I have a few mates who are also using it, and i can see what training they've done, and how hard they went up a hill during their rides etc etc. I recommend everyone using a Garmin to check it out... www.strava.com
  10. Great ride Luke, especially with the pedal issues you had. Stu rode very well today, but he had lots of help from Sarel, Greeff and me(until I got dropped going down slangkop), to open up that gap over the chasing group that you and I eventually finished in. I think this was a great route for a race. Too often the climb means nothing with so much time for guys to get back if they got dropped....this route did not offer that.
  11. Luke, I just clicked on the Rollercoaster link on the right of the homepage and it took me straight to online entry portal.
  12. High 5 make good stuff. Their energy bars are particularly tasty. A few of my mates have been buying the stuff from CRC the last year....so i hope your prices will at the very least be matching theirs. Good luck.
  13. So.....are the Elites and the Sub-Vets racing together, or are there now going to be separate starts?

wasfat just got one 2 weeks ago, and he's quite chuffed. Ask him about it.
  15. This is the best event of the year, road or mtb, and this is exactly the reason why this thread even exists. It is a pity that a lot of people don't have the opportunity to ride... Thank goodness I have my registration done again.
  16. Ok, 2 hours later and our team is successfully registered. What a bloody process though. Hope everyone else busy trying also gets there entries done. The event is worth it, even though about half an hour ago I was seriously debating whether it actually was
  17. Trying to enter this year is an absolute joke. They really should have been prepared for this.
  18. Cervelo R4? Never heard of this bike. BCD = Bolt Circle Diameter Compact cranks refer to the the chainrings....where 53/39 is considered standard, 50/34 and 52/36 etc are considered compact.
  19. The edge 500 is awesome. Small, analyzes everything you could need from your rides, and is reasonably priced. You can't go wrong.
  20. The Jock this year was great. I really like the 3 stages, and it makes for very interesting racing. I have done the last 2 Jocks 150km races, and I'll tell you that the way we raced it this year was much harder. Yes, you get to rest after each stage etc etc, but the racing is much more intense. Wow, that last stage back to Barberton hurt!!! I'll definitely be back next year, and i think this event will get bigger and bigger again, which is awesome.
  21. I dont think you can buy direct from Coolheat...but their number is on the advertising for the products they distribute, so hence speaking to them about stock availability is understood.
  22. I think Niner is a great brand, and like the Niner guy says, this has to do with their stock issues, not Coolheat, who are at their mercy for stock. I also think they handled the recall and re-supplu of the Jet frames very well. Wait for your Niner bud, you will be happy!
  23. Sweeeeeet. Niner make great bikes. Enjoy it!
