  1. I was in the same situation last year. I just contacted the organizers and they sorted it out a few weeks later. Good luck...and maybe see you at the adventure.
  2. Thanks a lot for the support, Pornstar. Look forward to experiencing the Whasp effect In line with the discussion on the ither thread about Teams in the A bunch..... i think the racing is gonna be very positive this year.
  3. If there is an agency in SA that is really well run, it is Bicicletta. They really look after there brands, and i refer specifically to the Crankbrothers brand. Shamus and Kelly and the guys answer questions immediately and are very good with warranty issues on their products. What a pleasure dealing with them. I am a big fan and ride Eggbeaters on the MTb and Quattros on the road, and I love them. Thanks guys, and keep it up.
  4. They look very cool!!
  5. Sorry to hear about yr problems. I have had my iPhone for a year now, and I absolutely love it. It is jailbroken, and I have my MTN sim in there, and it works like a dream....and has since day one. Good luck with yr next phone.... a mate had the Omnia, and was not crazy about it....swopped it for a Nokia through a contact, and he's happy now.
  6. I find it interesting that lots of riders here ride very small frames, and then have 2 or 3cm of spacers underneath the stem.
  7. I am sure your budget will also be a factor. I think the Anthem X1 will be the best value.... but if you can swing it, go for the Yeti!!! What a bike....and you can build it up just the way you want, or can afford Good luck.
  8. What is the pricing like on Louis Garneau, and where would be the place to look in JHB?
  9. I have also just started riding the Fox F100RLC, and it is a fantastic fork. I love it I love it I love it!
  10. What's the deal with Louis Garneau, Turtlek? Heard they good. Are they? Prices?
  11. It is my Yeti, and she loved the riding as much as i did. I believe they are few and far between in the Cape.
  12. I managed 8 rides in 2 weeks while on holiday in the Western Cape.... and damn, they're spoilt for choice. I took pictures on most rides....but missed out getting any on some of the best singletrack i have ridden in Jonkershoek, Oak valley, and Lebanon. Wow!! These pics are spread between rides done in the Grabouw area and the Cederberg. Spaceboy2009-01-05 01:38:57
  13. I am down from JHB working in Stellies...and arriving back to our digs last night around 9, a group of at least 15 riders on their MTB's come riding past us with their lights beaming brightly. You bastards!!!!! I am so looking forward to my bike coming down next week... So....where did you guys ride?
  14. The park is awesome. I like to go there for an hour before or after work, and really have a good time flying around the green routes...and getting a little more air on the bumps in 'Drop Zone' every time. Still gotta get up that little kick on 'Space Junk" though. I take my hat off to all involved in making the park a reality. Thank you!
  15. Still no prize money?
  16. Thanks a lot Sean. Andrew Mac putting in another great effort. Would be great if they loaded complete results on website so we can see how all our mates did on the day.
  17. Nice bike! Is that a slightly longer headtube than standard? It looks like it. Is it geared for comfort....similar to the Cervelo RS? Anyway...awesome bike.
  18. It closes at sundown every night, around 6:45, but seems it might stay open on Wed nights. I can't believe there are stll people that gripe about the entry fee....when there are cheaper multi-visit options available, and especially after a lot of people and sponsors have really gone out on a limb to create this park for us, the mountain bikers. Anyway....I am really enjoying the park, and will be popping in at least once a week....luckily it is very close to work.
  19. It is bad form, and a pity, because it is a great weekend away to go race in Pilgrims. I did it a few years ago, camped and really enjoyed the race.
  20. I'll be there....charging the lights now too, ready to test them before the 24hr. I just hope the Seattle Coffee will be open too. See ya there.
  21. Thank goodness I upgraded both my road bike and MTB in the last 6months prior to this kind of price explosion! Phew!
  22. No.. 2 of us were in red CycleLab kit with me riding my new Yeti for only the 3rd time, and Paul was in white PaintPro kit. Really had a great ride out there...and thank goodness the weather played it's part, because that ride would be tough if the sun is out in full force. Spaceboy2008-12-01 03:04:59
  23. It was an awesome day out on the bike. Although we didn't form part of the hubbers group, we met up with a bunch of you at the top on our way back over the 'bump'. That is my mate Paul and I sitting on the rocks checking out the awesome view from up there. Look forward to joining you all next time.
