  1. So....what's the verdict on the Conti Race Kings now that they have been around for a while?
  2. I am kinda relieved....as I won't be tempted in a year or so to upgrade my beautiful ASR that i have just taken possession of.
  3. BB....you machine!!!
  4. What about speedplays? I have heard they are the business. Are they?
  5. Awesome pics...but what the hell were you doing posying them at 4AM this morning, Pantani? Sleep is good for you! It was great having coffee with everyone there this morning after a sweet surf n turf ride.... that Seattle outlet is gonna do good business. See you all there tomorrow!!!!
  6. I was bummed not to be able to make the ride today....but I will be there on Sat for sure.
  7. Though that is a good price....everyone who registered at 94.7 got flyers from another company doing the same thing for R500.... so no real incentive to book with you before 31 Dec.... well, R1.
  8. Damn!!! Where did you find this pic? Only 2010??
  9. Nice initiative Andrew. Thanks. I will be there!!!
  10. I actually just posted these pics on another thread, but that one was actually related to different glasses for sale, so I'm posting them here too, where they belong. These are two pics of these awesome glasses i just took about 1 minute apart. After taking the first one I stepped outside for 30 seconds, came back in and took the 2nd one. Impressive stuff. Whaddya think?
  11. Guys, living nearby and having seen the park take shape over the last few months, I can tell you that a LOT of work has gone into it, and it is not going to be 'riding around in circles', at all. There are going to be challenges that very few will be capable of negotiating, and there will be lots of interesting drops and climbs etc etc. I can't wait to borrow a BMX and relive a bit of my childhood on that track that they have built. I will definitely immediately be buying a 20 pass ticket...and I can't wait!
  12. What team is Amore Vita Mcd anyway? Was he the sole rider?
  13. Except for the super expensive FSA ceramic bearing variety, are there any 29/44 MTB cranksets readily available at an affordable price? I am quite interested....but there is no way I am gonna drop R5k.
  14. Guys....people are gonna buy what the gonna buy....and yes, a lot of the stuff is very pricey....that is why some people ride Sora equipped steel frames and others are already riding 11 speed Super-record nano-tech carbon bikes. I think these glasses are very cool, with great lenses..., and that is what this thread is about.
  15. I think you will find quite a dramatic difference between the Rudy's featured/discussed here and your safety glasses Azonic. These 'Photochromic clear' lenses are almost transparent in low light conditions, but go amzingly dark when the sun is out....and they are ridiculously comfortable....but yes, R2300 is not cheap.....but then again, this is cycling.
  16. I got my Ultegra SL compact crankset a few months ago from comobike.com.... and it was delivered within a week, and i am very happy with it. It is R200 more expensive now, but i think still a good deal http://www.comobike.com/southafrica/ct/shop/pages/articolo.php?articolo_id=3663
  17. I am all over a pair of these myself!!!
  18. You mean Volcan www.thisismyvolcan.com .. look like sweet bikes. Same agents/distributors locally as Cervelo. I am also curious about this Cervelo MTB ...looks good, i think.

    BIG MAC

Good on ya Paul. It sucks getting a puncture that way.... and I agree it's a good one that you got a call.... no matter from who, if it was Joe Smith he would deserve a mention too. C'mon guys....we are all on the same team.
  20. Good on ya, Andrew!
  21. So we gonna see a pic of the bike or not? I can't wait to swing my leg over a Yeti when i can finally scrape to moolah together.
  22. Excellent result. Anyone know how Swift did in his age-group race at the worlds?
  23. I agree. The sport of cycling in SA would be poorer if not for Andrew ........and damn, can he ride a bike!!! Sean...what the hell are you doing here at 4:49AM?
  24. I would also love to give this Tuesday evening action a go, but work will not allow it. What happened tonight? Who won...how much pain was dished out? Did anyone take pics this time? Yes Zoo, those Rudy Project photochromic lenses are awesome, and I do like how they let you try them. A mate of mine played in a golf day last week, and they had the same thing going...and the guys were loving them, and bought them afterwards. Great glasses.
  25. Nice pic, Kevin. You might not have the weather down there, but you certainly have a lot that we don't up here in Jozi.
