  2. Awesome event. I did the Ultra Marathon! Wow...123km on the MTB is no joke....but i really enjoyed it..and thank goodness the weather was on our side I'll definitely go back!
  3. There is a good explanation of the different types of brake pads here http://mtbexchange.net/questions/20/which-brake-padsSpaceboy2010-01-29 02:33:58
  4. Ok...how much?
  5. Why on earth does Burry puncture so often??? Great effort by Kevin , and I think an even better one by David George finishing 2nd in a top class field after being off for so long with a virus or something
  6. Crazy Beautiful, Deep Section! I want one when I'm big Where did you get the frame from? and what kinda $$$ are we talking? A mate of mine just recently built up a Ridgeline, and he loves it.
  7. ASG: 0861 RUDYSA
  8. I think youre gonna struggle to get 20 volunteers. Good luck though.
  9. My Epic Partner has the same dilemma. Went from a 26 hardtail, to a 26 Full Suss...and just never got comfortable...now is very much considering a 29 hardtail (NINER). I think he should do it!
  10. I went out for a lap just as the storm hit, but also just before they stopped riders from going out. So did pretty much the entire lap in the rain, wind, thunder & lightning. This is me right after that lap...and it was the lap i enjoyed most of the whole event.
  11. How shortly?
  12. I didn't even know you rode on the MTB. Nice one. I would dig to do Sabie X...but am away during that time in Dec working. Hope you find someone who can climb with you. Enjoy!!
  13. Congrats Willem. This Cruise was a tough one!!! Who were you racing with most of the way, and did you know you were at the front of the "Golden Bike Race"? Enjoy it!!!
  14. This is SOOOOO nice!!
  15. SIDI.... Dominator or Dragon.
  16. New Yeti looks good!
  17. Awesome bikes!!!!
  18. Hey...i was one of the roadies (even though I'm a MTB'er at heart) this morning...but it was Shaun the Butcher who was the really friendly one commenting on your bright jacket and backpack. He's a legend! Saying hi and having a chat shouldn't be lauded, it should be stock-standard. Have a lekker day!
  19. I think it's "The Idol" Great pics Pantani...and the site is looking great. Keep it up!
  20. Rudy Project with Photochromic Clear lenses! It's all you'll need! Here are pics of the Rydon and the Exowind.
  21. Watched it this morning.... it's classic!
  22. I have all the episodes downloaded onto my Iphone....and they make for very interesting watching. Highly recommended.
  23. Rudy Project make great glasses. The fact that they don't shatter is cool, and during a hard crash on a rocky section of downhill this could prove to be a very valuable feature...but something about these lenses that hasn't really been pointed out on this thread, is how dramatically they adapt to light conditions. I have posted these pics before, but check these before and after pics of my Exowinds with photochromic clear lenses out....with literally 30 seconds of sun exposure between shots:
  24. Sweet.... thanks a lot for that one.
  25. This hasn't been mentioned yet...because i assume it got sorted out quickly...but in the 60km race after about 10k i was chasing the lead pack like crazy, and just couldn't get closer than 200m, when i turned a corner and saw them all standing there lifting their bike over a gate and then jumping over themselves.... Fritz was standing by on the phone obviously trying to get this gate opened asap. It was a relief to me as it allowed me to get back in touch, but i'm sure the others were frustrated... but again, it seems the gate got opened, as i can only imagine the queue if everyone had to climb over. Fritz...your efforts are appreciated, and the track was really good and well marked.Good luck with the next race
