  1. So Christie, you reckon Cervelo over Litespeed?
  2. This is nice, right?
  3. This is awesome input guys, and a good discussion to boot. So basically, Ti is a bit heavier, but the ride is more comfortable, where Carbon is lighter and stiffer(more responsive), but not as comfy? I must say i like the look of Litespeed. The Archon is definitely not a consideration.... was thinking more along the lines of a Siena. Anybody familiar with this frame? Litespeed or Cervelo? This is a tough questiuon for me, but I am happy to be in a position to sit with this kind of a problem
  4. I want to race on it, but obviously my life doesn't depend on it if i win or not (but i'd like to ). I don't really ride further than 120km at a time, and have yet to do a multi-day tour/stage race.
  5. On high-end road bikes, what do you reckon is the way to go... Carbon or Titanium. To put it another way, Cervelo or Litespeed? I am quite interested in this comparison. Let's say the price on the frames are the same, which is the way to go??
  6. KV... also check out the Womens specific bikes from GT. I think Trek also have womens specific bikes, as do Specialized, but they may be over the budget. The GT Avalanche 1.0 for women seems very nicely specced....but unsure of the price. Good luck bud, and let us know what you decided on. Is it gonna be a birthday present?
  7. I think that the new Death Cab for Cutie album 'Narrow Stairs' is really cool!
  8. Ok, thanks guys....good to know it's not something wrong with my awesome iPhone..phew! Very frustrating though. Cheers.
  9. Has anyone else been having problems today with MTN service.

    Tubeless

Kev.... No surprises with the input you're getting here. Going on 3 years without a flat after going tubeless....with UST tires though. Look forward to a few good rides when we down next...and not having to stop for you to put in another tube PS: Welcome to the hub.

  12. GT is very good value! My first bike was an Avalanche 1.0, and i loved it....until it got stolen. You can't go wrong!
  13. Awesome pics Zaskar, and thanks for taking them, and posting them Wishing I was there. Any idea on the results on the day? Can't find them. Cheers.
  14. I second that 'Energy Dynamics' is the way to go. They research and test all their products extensively, and the stuff is proudly South African. Their 'Octane' is the best energy drink i have used over the last 5 years of riding and it retails for about R160 for a 1.5kg tub. Also cool is that you get 1kg of powder in a big bag inside, and then 10 500g packets that are great to take with you when on the go.
  15. This thing with the couch is really silly. But hey.... the couch is now 'part of the furniture' on the hub.
  16. This guy Yehuda works in a bike shop called 'The Kickstand', and goes everywhere on his bike. He is very old-school though and it is quite funny to see the interaction between him and the 'club cyclists' etc. He is cool this guy.... even if he just wears a funny hat that looks like it covers his eyes instead of a helmet
  17. Check out www.yehudamoon.com for a pretty cool comic strip. www.yehudamoon.comSpaceboy2008-04-01 13:50:46
  18. Going into winter, Photochromic Clear is the only way to go. I am wearing them at 5 in the dark with my nike-light and when the sun is out at the end of the ride they are appropriately dark.
  19. Morningside Cycles, Dunkeld Cycles, Cycle Lab Fourways all stock Rudy Project, to name a few. They are awesome glasses. You can't go wrong with the Rydon.... around R1300 for Polycarbonate lenses...about R1700 for 'guaranteed unbreakable' Photochromic lenses.
  20. 7.29kg? No wonder you have been finishing the races ahead of me.... bastard!
  21. Nice pics Daemon. This really is the best event of the year.
  22. I just stick to my good old Octane from Energy Dynamics. Awesome product!
  23. Awesome effort controlc. It seems that there are results/names missing from time 4:59 up to 5:03.
  24. Crankbrothers pedals are awesome!
  25. Fummy how they always pick up the phone when i call....and they do not have callerID! You haven't even clarified what your gripe is with the guys.
