  1. I still have to get the xrays.
  2. I gave it a once over. no leaks. South Enduro wheels still solid! changes gears. Hard to do things with one hand.
  3. I wear knee guards religiously!! This mini shin guard saved my upper shin big time. I dont even have bruising after impact and sliding on brick size rocks for a good few meters . Now if I only had the elbow guards on, which I Electively chose to leave. The bike looks like it didnt take any damage. Will only be able to tell on a thorough inspection, but it freewheeled me back to the car just fine and no noises. Thanks for asking!!!!🤣
  4. I am back!!!! there is some tingling in my fingerlings!! I can make a strong fist but not open it yet. Recovery has started, got some hand exercises to do. The radial head had to be replaced. It was actually in 6 pieces
  5. Indeed, but it could of happened any where. Like walking and tripping resulting in a broken something. I blame myself for what happened, due to not taking note where I am going. I dont mind the falls and bruises. Just dont like braking something.
  6. Tested out "mips" on sunday went for a slide into ER and an op tomorrow. Managed to break the radial head in my elbow into 3 pieces and some fragments.
  7. Where can we watch the racing this weekend? Or is it redbulltv still broadcasting?
  8. "lifetime warranty" is not worth the paper it is written on. I have been through a so called "lifetime warranty" claim a few years back. It means nothing in the cycling industry. Insure your bike and never look back. Dont be fooled by high end brand names either.
  9. There are always people around in tokai. The woodcutters, the baboon marshals, and then of course hikers, horse riders and cyclists. It may look empty at times but there are people about.
  10. I helped my friend fit a full frame kit sometime last week. What a mission. Not all of the cutouts are pressed out cleanly, so we had the film folding onto itself as it got stuck when taking it off the paper and thus kinda ruining the look. Then some sheets had the excess film removed and others didnt. Other than that, it went on ok.
  11. Bikeshield goes on easy with soapy water. It is a decent thickness as well. Thicker than some of the local stuff.
  12. You sound like me LOL
  13. I used to leave mine at work mon to thurs. I would go in with a car on a fri and sat and then I would bring the laptop home. Didnt like the idea of riding with it, just in case.
  14. I am way too unfit to race. So apart from the cost, I dont enter as I k@k on the climbs and walk when I feel like it. Also I am certain I could ride the climb but dont feel like pushing myself. I keep that for the downs. Funnily we were just chatting now about weekend runs and organising some shuttle days with the group. Sorry for the events, but we having fun, walking, shuttling, rolling slowly or going flat out and all just chilled. Private shuttle runs amongst friends are just awesome!!!
  15. I know what you mean. I always look on in amazement when an ebike just cruises up a steep hill. But the exhilaration of conquering that hill under your own power cannot be beaten!!
  16. Indeed, was just tongue in cheek. Not directed at you, I work in retail and we have this experience numerous times a day. Sometimes I wonder if some people were in a bunker for the last 3 years.

  18. Hopefully he will pop by in the week.
  19. I always support local. If I see I am being charged a premium for a product I can get for cheaper overseas, then I move on. Even sizing is not catered for the (larger riders) south african market. Sometimes business should just take ownership whether right or wrong and give themselves super street cred as apposed to doing further damage with negative outcomes.
