bit of both, i'd love to do the Epic but it is well pricey and if i got a reduced entry i would definitely not be fit enought now to do it. It is a fiarly big commitment in terms of training leading up to it.

so rode Holla about a week ago, ridden there a few times before. Got a little lost( i guess our fault) so we decided to do a bit of adventure riding which is what MTB is all about(exploring) and we had a blast. You can't really get lost there, sun rise in the east so if you head that way you will always end up in Ballito. People complaining about water or not enought food should take more on their ride, specially if you not from the area, anything could happen that hinder you from riding and pushing for a good couple of KMs will add on extra time, etc. BUt everyone is entiled to an opinion. The track is well marked and very well looked after compared to some of the place i have ridden. Less bitching more riding. Thanks Nic for allowing us to ride on your lands, great stuff

this is what happens when you watch Madagascar with your kid, those penguins keep on saying smile and waves boys... yeah, lesson learnt never take your hands off the bar and look away. @Drongo, yeah Solly's foley was awesome, bit sore with a busted rib and poked shoulder( i am sure i shed a tear or two), nonetheless i still finished the 3 days on a lot of myprodol and voltaren injections.

what ever you use, make sure that it holds your bottle tightly, seen lots of guys lose bottle there on races.
