  1. Try to buy in bulk when ordering from overseas
  2. Was out there this morning after another night of rain. I wouldn't dare take a geared bike through that. I spent most of my time standing and powering even on flat ground. More of the bank has fallen down over the wooden bridge going under Rustenburg. There is a tree over the trail 200m from Fratelli and another tree down in the Emmerenti tree line just as you ride down the bank adjacent to the fields.
  3. Is that an old locally built Produx frame?
  4. Wish I could get down to do this. Have good friends and family in PE/JBay.
  5. Not sure, but is the KS 67301 a new dropper post?
  6. Hairy. I think that post was off topic
  7. And titanium? That will crack from even a grassy mound strike...
  8. Why? Apparently more rain predicted throughout the weekend
  9. Awesome bike Catgirl Rides like a dream... I should know And how short would that make you then?
  10. Haha. Yeah, I remember him. I was quite active when it was still relatively small. I used to dish out a lot of advice which just got lapped up. I hope some of it was good. You have to remember that back then there was no: Road vs MTB Therefore no 26" vs 29" vs 27.5"
  11. Bikes have different size wheels? When did that happen?
  12. Just don't dribble it down to fine leg!
  13. That's not cricket!!
  14. Aah, the bad old days. I remember that. Before the Hub existed, I joined a small South African forum: www.cyclingforums.com. There weren't that many of us there and it wasn't particularly active but it was fun. Any survivors here? I think we were a group who didn't like the format and lack of comeraderie of the Supercycling chat. But it didn't grow as it wasn't really marketed at all... and then The Hub took over - the rest is history. I joined The Hub a few months after its creation but lost my login somewhere along the line. Can't even remember my username. Had a couple of years sabatical before re-registering.
  15. They are a bit old tech, heavy and don't roll that well.
  16. Karkloof, Howick and Cascades. Well worth the drive and Not too much further if you are planning on going as far as Giba.
  17. I know the architect and her hubby very well. He rides MTB and was an occasional Hubber. Think you will need to chat to building management...
  18. I told you. I was there but you were just too damn fast.
  19. My 26" Intense 5.5 frame which I bought a few years ago was hanging up in a shop in Pta North with a R18999 price tag. I think most who saw it: a) didn't know what it was. b) must have been too scared to ask.
  20. Yep. Sorry Nige. That Devinci is totally wrong for you. Don't worry though, I have a short 'buddy' on a budget who is not sure about this MTB stuff. He will take it off your hands.
  21. Because if you are buying a 26" Intense you aren't quite sure if MTBing is "your thing"
  22. At the other end of the spectrum... This past weekend at Giba there were a handful of 8 or 9 year olds riding XS 29ers. I swear they were barely taller than the wheel height. Man it looked funny.
  23. I'm going to have to sell my bikes and buy a 29er. Sucks!
  24. Bwahahahaha. Thanks for the laugh.
