  1. I've seen this floating around on Facebook. Trying to order online but the button seems to be a little broken. Sending Pierre an email now.
  2. Thanks Pudding. My own fault for buying expensive shorts and riding in lighter colours in threatening weather. I don't mind dirty but stains on the ass just look gross haha. I do like to take care of my gear as I do my bike. Maybe I'll mix up an Epson salts bath and soak in them. I have a small surfboard toy around here somewhere.
  3. Revival. Any more tips. Got caught in the rain at Red Barn yesterday and that lovely red mud trapped between the seat of the pants and the saddle really did a number on a pair of virtually new grey shorts. So far it's been two washes at 30deg and soaked with degreaser/sunlight liquid to try and dissolve the stain. Yet to try the pressure washer, green soap, powasol (only arrives on thursday) I guess at the end if the stain doesn't come out I will need to resort to fabric dye.
  4. Have you played around a little with Snapseed? I’ve managed to pull out some great sunrise and sunset detail from photos before he lowering the highlights, pushing up shadows, and then adding a little saturation.
  5. Second ****** (why is it filtering "person"?) to tell me to get a life... I'm starting to doubt my current state of existence. I gave my opinion. That is all.
  6. Yes we do! Don't come here with that Cape attitude my bru. We have a little something called Gilroys
  7. Vaal Marina last year January
  8. My ass is seriously itching to get back on two wheels again. In fact it started itching the day my Harley was sold. This caught my attention.
  9. Not as chilled as those beers mid ride. Irony is my middle name. Especially when I slap on the . Imagine that, three of them! OMFG. Happy new year to you too.
  10. Interesting question. With the added weight of the bike (+- 10kg?) you would need to run higher tire pressures. This would be at the expense of grip. Is this an issue?
  11. You got your feedback and then you got pissy with "get a life"
  12. Trouble reading? I said it's personal preference.
  13. Sensitive much? Don't push content to the internet if you can't take the feedback. Now who needs a life?
  14. My biggest issue is promoting the consumption of alcohol mid ride. Highly unprofessional. e-bike or no e-bike, drinking and riding is irresponsible. Maybe that is why the camera is spinning around them 90% of the time? Cheeky to use Corona. I see the comedic side of it but at the same time I feel it is a little insensitive. Is the video sponsored by Corona? This is personal preference but this video is supposed to sell a lifestyle. Trail riding and having fun. Why all the lycra. Just doesn't look right to me. Again, this is personal preference. Lastly, the video production. What frame rate is that? Looks like 30fps. At 24/25fps you will get that smooth cinematic feel. Also the colour grading makes it look like they are riding in a wasteland. It severely lacks more closeup footage. The setting for the video could have been a forest or similar. More eye candy and sells the ride better. Right now it looks like you are slogging along in dry, dusty, and hot environments. Again, personal feelings on the video. Except for the alcohol part.
  15. So many things wrong with that video... But, I would not mind adding an e-bike to the stable for something like exploring everything Karkloof has to offer. Some of those climbs are brutal. My knees and back will thank me. It does look like a lot of fun.
  16. 67: They will not bring back the classifieds comments.
  17. Loving Nord but I can't get past Amazon Prime with it. Keeps telling me to disable my VPN on my laptop. Would like to find a way to install this on the Mikrotik fibre router and have no more SA Netflix on my Apple TV. Starting to see more and more local content filling up space where quality content should be.
  18. Starting to turn into my previous two days. Except it was voms and sharts
  19. This was all the shop had when I needed lube. It's not the worst lube in the world but it was a bit messy after a very dusty ride. I noticed zero difference even with my legs putting down e-bike levels of power at least 90% of the time.
  20. But it is expensive? It must be the best! To me that price is a new chain + enough good quality lube for many thousands of km.
  21. I could have phrased that differently. Agreed.
  22. I think there is a bit of a disconnect here. I’m not calling Lyne out and saying it’s a **** company with **** products. I’ve had various lengthy discussions with Dayle about specific requirements and he even sent me technical drawings of products to ensure i’ll have proper measurements to fit. This just shows the commitment and trust he has in his brand. I merely said I’m concerned about the quality of the two products that didn’t perform to expectations when compared to similar products from other manufacturers. In this case a chainring from Lyne vs SRAM with the same km on it and a multi tool from specialized subjected to the same riding conditions and maintenance. Lyne has my support and I’ve recommended them on various occasions to other riders.
  23. I'm just curious. Not throwing a blanket at all. I'm happy with the cranks and wheels. I have sent a mail about the chainring. Waiting patiently for a reply.
