  1. The good fat or bad fat?
  2. Maybe I'm just into that kinda thing haha.
  3. Agree on the shock collar. Would you put one around your balls for every time you go to the cookie jar?
  4. Your best bet will be to look into recall training. Being able to call him back immediately when he runs is the only way out. If that doesn't work you are bound by a life of micro managing the situation. I have two dogs who dart when they get the chance and one of them is child aggressive (long story of children teasing her with sticks and whistles through the gate while we were at work). The other one would naturally follow and climb in as well. They are both power breeds so a child stands no chance. Can't take the risk of them getting out ever so when the gate is opened they are both kept in the house. PS. Shock collars are not the answer. They don't work.
  5. This may or may not work but do a calibration and when Zwift says to keep spinning at 37kph, spin up to 54-55kph and see if the spindown completes. It could resolve the issue. PS. Are you in ERG mode?
  6. Definitely keep. Original and in that condition. Do a cleanup and enjoy it. I wish I had a classic lady like that in my stable.
  7. Had a fall a while back where my face assisted me in braking. The impact was directly on the frame. No damage and the impact popped the lens out. Maybe i got lucky?
  8. I've given up on finding inserts or dedicated sports RX frames purely due to the costs involved. I now ride with my old pair of glasses. The are good enough for me to see the detail in the trail and keeps enough junk out of my eyes. It sucks that my Oakley EVs are now sitting on the shelf but I just can't deal with my contacts while riding. I tend to not blink when I'm concentrating and once that lens dries out I'm practically blind when I do blink again. Also the scratching drives me crazy.
  9. My actual job?
  10. Had a guy at Red Barn ride back over the jumps to redo them again so his girlfriend could take more photos of him jumping. Said jumps are on a fairly fast bit and there is a perfectly suitable path next to it that he could have ridden back on. When confronted he just spat out a "so what" comment. Some people shouldn't have made it past the tip of a condom.
  11. How's your son doing this morning?
  12. The Spez is almost twice the price too and when comparing them side-by-side I don’t see a much better product on the Specialized side. Maybe a better plating or coating but that is it. I’ll stick to my OneUp EDC though. Second pick would be to put the Lyne tool back on my bike.
  13. Sorry to hear Brendan. I’m stumped at how fast some riders go through there. Many not adhering to the flow of the traffic either. Hope this doesn’t leave long term scars for your son. What is Mr Racing Snake doing on the spruit anyways. He should be chasing his KOMs at a bike park. Chop!
  14. How many kms on the bike? Remember a brand new bike needs a couple of hours for the suspension to "break in" Keep the HSC and LSC wide open and just dial in some rebound while everything breaks in. Then you start to dial things in.
  15. Agree 100%. My biggest win was cutting out the Red Bulls, chocolates, and pies. Before lockdown my daily routine at the office was a pepper steak pie, 3 cheese samoosas, and 2 Red Bulls. How I didn't die from that junk is beyond me. Now I have maybe 1 can a week. During that time my blood glucose and cholesterol were too high. Had a physical this morning and my cholesterol read in at 2.6mmol/L and glucose at 5.6. I'm definitely continuing with my current diet which is mostly vegetarian with the occasional chicken. Exercise can be more. Currently doing 150km / week over 10 hours on the bike. I don't like running but the last big loss (fat burn) was from running. Then I tore my ligaments while on a run and went back to the pies for comfort. I guess it is time to put the old purple running shoes back on.
  16. Today I learned that the BMI calculation originated in the 1830. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/255712#:~:text=Body%20mass%20index%2C%20or%20BMI,BMI%20has%20some%20important%20flaws.
  17. Ah. The old pussy straights. Some people can't corner so good it seems. Maybe they should just ride the cycle lane instead.
  18. Especially the last couple of kms going through all the trees and forest bits. It really is pretty at the moment. Green grass and flowers everywhere.
  19. Why is bread so damn delicious? Bread is why I am nowhere near my goal weight yet. I'm proud of losing the 12kg I did from July to December but between December and now I've been stuck fluctuating between 103kg and 107kg.
  20. Ignorance, arrogance, entitlement, or genuinely a mistake. Just like finding hikers on MTB only trails. This will never change. /end thread.
  21. Had *** service from them 3 times in a row with trying to order online. Still waiting on at least 2 other online queries.
  22. 14 as of this morning. ????????????
  23. Thank you for the offer sir. Another gent was kind enough to send it to me already.
  24. Maybe it was that steal of a deal in the window! But seriously. The syndicate behind bike thefts in the Western Cape really needs to be put behind bars. There is no way that so many bicycles are stolen through petty theft alone.
