Respect!! I bought a uni in december and fell like a cripple learning to walk, it is going to take some learning for me to get to grips with this.

I have been using USN Pure Protein shake as breakfast for 1.5 years now and it does work great. Protein helps the muscles to repair themselves after a hard session, very important for recovery. Protein is also more difficult for your body to digest so it uses more energy to digest it therefore raising your metabolic rate, also beneficial to losing weight. Protein also has the ability to make you feel full after a shake so you don't want to snack for some time after the shake. Good for weight loss. Obviously if you eat too much protein shake you will put on weight especially if you do Hard Gym type exercise, but aerobic exercise like cycling won't make you build huge muscles although it will allow your cycling to improve because your cycling muscles will grow stronger quicker than if youhave a high carb diet.

I drove that, as I said in my old landy and we went on the the top of Black mountain (the highest point in Southern Africa 3200m), not too much further from the top of Sani Pass. I would hate to ride that on a bike. My Landy was spluttering and coughing in that rarified air. I have pencilled this one in as a must do next year.

I agree with you epoh, I drove that in my landy and I had to do Low range near the top it is seriously scary steep.

Yeah Sean I agree with you. Why did Crater Cruise get dropped from the MTN series? Why were there less MTN series races this year? I try do as many as I can the Marathon distance but this year there were only 4 I could have realstically done that were not too difficult to get to from Gauteng.

You can buy a service kit for Eggbeater peddles that is quite inexpensive, it comes with a replacement bearing and seals and bushes + grease I think. I just took mine apart and cleaned and greased with the teflon pink grease, reassembled and it works 100%.

Fill your 5 litre bottle with water and weigh it, it should weigh 5kg. If more your bottle is bigger or your scale is out.
