Hindsight is a wonderful thing but in honesty he is one of the better Captain's around. Still think he does more right than wrong - the other issue is who would take over? AB is improving but also had some brain farts when he started Captaining

98/4 had justified bowling first - I think his bigger mistake was bringing on RP instead of increasing the pressure. He went for 28 or so in a few overs and let Smith and Marsh get in - when our strike bowlers came back the ball was soft and the batsmen in. There is no doubt that was the partnership that setup the victory.

Its no secret MJ is in the form of his life but he average has just under 28, which would indicate he is a player that goes through some crazy form and then not so much. I know their batsmen did quite well and they got three centurions but how good would this team be without him? Would they have battered England as much or whipped us? Would be interesting to see how they fared without him
  4. You can also include Mount Rhodes detour on Suikerbossie for some extra switchbacks.
  5. There are road works as well as some damages from the mud slides which are being repaired. They also cut the bushes and most were still lying there yesterday totally blocking the verge. Speeding recovery to the cyclist!
  6. Contact Zilla on the hub - he was renting his machine out for that purpose
  7. I got a penalty of 9 and am starting in a way lower group than last year even though I am a stronger cyclist. They used my Burger time from 2012 and ignored my Argus time from last year where I finished middle of my seeded group .... yet now I am 7 groups back .... anyways ...

    Dear Joggers

    huh?

    Dear Joggers

Don't pick on me because you laid out a feeble argument that was riddled with hypocrisy as noted by others. Also don't use your isolated incident and making sweeping untrue statements. Cyclist are allowed to use the pavement and runners the road. It is no more difficult to move around a runner as it is to avoid a pot hole coming around a blind corner. Should a cyclist using the pavement jump into the street when they see a jogger or would it be easier for them to pass each other?

    Dear Joggers

Firstly you never stated that - you made a general statement. You also said its the law for the pedestrian to use the pavement and cyclist to use the road. Both are not true. What is weird is you do not see it from both sides of the coin. You expect motorist to not have the attitude of 'the road is mine' but don't offer the same courtesy to others road users?
  13. JGR

    Dear Joggers

So the runner should change sides? Wouldn't that apply equally
  14. JGR

    Dear Joggers

Herewith the law ..... as some one that does both activities 2) A pedestrian on a public road which has no sidewalk or footpath abutting on the roadway, shall walk as near as is practicable to the edge of the roadway on his or her right-hand side so as to face oncoming traffic on such roadway, except where the presence of pedestrians on the roadway is prohibited by a prescribed road traffic sign. - See more at: http://www.arrivealive.co.za/pages.aspx?nc=Educational#part1_21

Swann just come out to say KP was been fine since the textgate scandal. Flower before he left said they had no problems. So which is it? They are lying and he is a trouble maker . Don't recall reading or seeing him and Cook fell out unless you know something we don't or haven't read. As for Broad ..... arguably the worst sportsmen currently. He is a bigger prima donna than KP but obviously in the right cliché Warne often compromised the team (being banned for drugs and suspended effects the image of the whole team) and well Lara played for the WI, who have been in shambles for years. Chris Gayle picks and chooses when he plays for the WI

No doubt but the issue is many of them have said there hasn't been trouble for a long time. So in retrospect why now have they declared him a bad apple? His issue, in previous years was about the IPL, where he actually has lot a great deal of earning coming back to play for England. Many many players don't always agree with the coach but in this case Flower himself came out and said he had not vibes with KP.

    Cricket......

Now we are in agreement I specifically meant sports maverick
  19. JGR

    Cricket......

But then our view point is the same that his demise was more the ECB than him. Your view on the rest? ie maverick players being treated differently? ala Gibbs, Botham, Flintoff ... hell even Warner for the Aussies. We don't have to discuss the word cohesive as it is not subjective and cant be refuted

    Cricket......

So sad ..... still wonder what happened there.

    Cricket......

Cohesive also doesn't mean collegial or professional to precise. KP is a maverick and needs to be treated differently like all sporting mavericks. Agree or disagree? As I mentioned England were number one when KP was his most 'destructive' and its always funny how those things are forgotten when you are winning yet when the team is rotting they are the first to be blamed. Let us not forgot he was their top run getter in Aus. Swann recently said KP has been fine and there have been no problems since his re-integration into the team. It is all hypocrisy as Eng have had many divisive players in the recent past. Flontoff, Tuffnell ect. What about Panesar urinating on a bouncer whilst pissed out of his head? Have you seen how English sportsmen behave? Cmon. He is a scapegoat but this will bite them in the arse. CSA had Gibbs and they let him back into the team after smoking pot, match fixing ect. Have you read his autobio? He was a maverick and needed to be handled differently. Eng has cocked this up by not being able to manage him properly. Any team would have KP in a heart beat but I think he would need to wait a number of years before qualifying.
  22. Ive had my blueseventy for 5 years - small tear here and there but nothing some wetsuit glue didn't sort out. Otherwise stick to Xterra, 2xu or possibly sailfish
  23. Google eyes? is that from staring at the search engine to long? Try the small race type goggles that fit into your eye socket. Sore at first but a winner in the long run

    Cricket......

Disagree here - most top sport people have a single mindedness that takes them to the top. Very few nice guy at the top. England were their best when KP was being a tosser
