  1. When intellectual debate and reason dry up ... insults and naming calling arrive
  2. Personal experience?Had a mate based in London, who wanted to do a long weekend in Spain or some other warm place and couldn't get the leave. He faked illness the Thursday and Friday but ended up getting horribly sun burnt and come in Monday looking like a greek god. I think he still blagged his way out of it
  3. Looking good!!!!!!!!!! love the matt on gloss
  4. Companies need to honour the price displayed on the shelf, even if it was a mistake (in your favour that is).
  5. Thought as much ... OP sorry for derailing the thread
  6. Everyday people come here and moan about how they are being screwed over. NOT once has anybody taken responsibility for their own action. Boohoo banks charge me interest!! Well then don’t buy stuff you cannot afford on credit! Boohoo cell company this and that don’t give me what I want!! Well change, or stop moaning! Boohoo bike shop 1 charges more than bike shop 2. Well take your money elsewhere. Boohoo insurance company X won’t pay my claim even though I excluded said cover to save a buck. Boohoo I must pay R1000 for a special seat clamp. Well when you bought areo bike X to show off to your friends you should have thought of that. Here you rant about people ranting and what they should do, you go further to blame them (also unsubstantiated btw). I never said you could not moan, by all means moan. You seem to be good at it but thanks for acknowledging it was a rant. Please show me where I said you couldn't moan? I asked you a question how that made sense. Once again you misquote - all I said and reconfirmed with you in your little PM to me was it was info that was passed on to me - whether true or not. I never said an insurer is screwing people over, in fact if you bothered to read I said I agree that companies don't go out to screw people but also noted that it does happen. You talk of tarnishing industries but then try do they same to mine? Who do you think it is that pay us to get these people? The same people you are trying to defend. Since you already know everything you would obviously know that people approach us to find them new jobs or is it your assumption that every staff member gets invested in and should stay their who lives at one company?
  7. I have no issue with people ranting, nor do I come here to complain about it as you did. Your only contribution was to complain about them ranting and then to mock other by calling them Cpt Principle. In fact one can pick up very useful information and avoid potential mishap. There are no rules but I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in your statement
  8. The same would apply to the rant and rave section here - don't complain about people ranting and then come and read the rants, only to complain about them ranting, in a rant thread. You also know its happening but come anyways and perpetuate it further .... How does that make sense? When you question nothing - you fall for everything
  9. CWC online - delivered the next day
  10. Well said Rob, please tweet that to Zille
  11. No its sounds like Std Bank are selling you products underwritten by hollard - speak to cpt arm pies mayham. He is very clued up
  12. Your 'general' comment referred to what I said so hard not to take it as directed to me. I don't buy into that mindset either but that is not the basis of my point either. The person in question is not my buddy and as for your example .... ill entertain it. Just because they don't get caught doesn't mean they don't do it
  13. calm down ... re-read. I have a broker and mentioned I would not use b2c (business to consumer) direct broker et al. I said in theory which is different to a theory. Neither did I claim it was a trend, in fact I confirmed it was a case. He was from a big ST insurer btw ... so in this case your assumptions are wrong.
  14. In theory perhaps but I have recently interviewed a person(Claims managers) who is trying to change jobs because of the unethical behavior of the loss ratios and being forced to dismiss claims where he felt the claimant was due his money. The loss ratio you mentioned is lets say 80% (as an example) - if 8 claims are accepted than means the next 2 can be dismissed without the FSB being alerted to anything regardless of the validity. Obviously not the norm but from the horses mouth .... I make use of a broker, not only for the expertise but also the network he has when processing claims. I would not touch a b2c insurer
  15. That is not entirely true as ST insurers need to achieve a certain rate for their claims
  16. JGR

    Kulula ?????

Its the cost of a ticket - please can you send me R700 or are you being cheap?
  17.   That would be a first ....
  18. That's not 100% correct .... its other races to
  19. Go through your insurer - they we sort it and claim from his. It is common practice known as knock for knock - or call the ombudsman as some have said. Good luck
  20. Could work both ways .... if someone saw x or y has entered that might discourage them.
  21. Im not encouraging doping - far from it. Im just not sure what other rules sanctioning might bring - it could not allow for this type of format. I dunno. Obviously I want a fair race, like everyone else but it would be great to see Lance give something like this a crack. He has the money so don't think it would be about that. He hasn't raced for a period way longer that his cohorts ....maybe have an ex doper cat?
  22. Look I think it would be pretty dangerous to let okes go crazy but im sure sanctioning the event would come at a great cost? Money to UCI or having to operate within their rules ect.
  23. Got to get your $10k's worth of value
  24. Pay the fee and pull you through the race .... seems fair
