He was not selected for the boks during his time at Racing Metro 2009-2012 furthermore I was referring to playing in SA and earning European money ..... Promises? No - there would be a contract and im sure he could have gone the legal route if they had broken their obligations. The fact that he is dropping them mid tour is the disgusting part ...he kept other promising players out only to give his team mates, countrymen, fans ect a slap in the face. The KP of rugby ...............

If I had been earning millions from 21 - yes. Secondly many rugby players move into other occupations or even within rugby. So his career is certainly not over. Other rugby pro's do very well for themselves and don't hold their countries unions to ransom. Each to their own - if he wants to earn big bucks then so be it but you cant have your cake and eat it, which is what he wanted to do and now to drop the boks mid tour? A little tacky imo I don't begrudge people earning money and doing well for themselves, far from it. But to play for the boks is a privilege and honour and if he didn't want to be considered because of x,y,z he should have said so from the onset and given the team time to train with other players, other combinations ect. Now he has left them in the lurch and we take on Wales with a new centre combo ....pretty selfish tantrum

Its all about the money money money money money money http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/Springboks/Steyn-SARU-in-money-dispute-20140611 One would have thought the millions he has already earned would have been enough .... but like the old saying goes How much money does one man need ................. a little more than he has
  5. Seriously nice watch ... and the rainmaker has waaaayyyyyy to many watches
  6. Ive got no complaints with my Suunto S2. The battery life claim with all this watches is a little fishy and you normally have to reduce accuracy or recording intervals to get the extended life. Ive previously had a Bryton and my advise would be to stay away from that one. Ive heard great things about the 910 as well.
  7. hey hey spoiler alert for those of us with PVR

Fair point - but your experienced changed, he is as inexperience as a Captain then as he is now. If someone asked you 3 years ago if you had ambitions of being the CFO you would have said yes? and possibly taken the Sr FM role that they offered at the time. Don't get me wrong, Ill support him but a little concerning it was not something he has been working towards or wanted as demonstrated when he reversed his decision on the T20 and only made himself available quite late. But he has a cool head and leads by example so he has the attributes

I dunno about this one tbh .. Hash gave up the T20 Captaincy because he didn't feel up for it ..... Hope it doesn't effect his batting.

No it means that Eben E and Pieter-Steff DT are injured ..... Vic could play the same role Bobby S did in 2007. Captain against the weaker nations in the group phase while resting the other players

I agree Reinach has been playing well and should be there but same could be said of Kocket. Also agree on Kirchner - never should have been a bok. The greek isnt even starting at SR currently so we are short at 10. Coetzee was leading 6 before he got injured I think and Louw is a definite starter. Vermuleun and Bismark also steal a lot of ball so maybe no need for him as a specialist at the breakdown and HM would rather pick ball carriers. Who knows, I think he should be there but I also dont think he would make the match day 22, so not a glaring omission. Wrt to the EU based players - next world cup is in England and players used to EU conditions would be helpful. Boshof back in the squad.

Why should the location of your job influence if you play for your country. How did they turn their back on the Boks if there is no rule on playing aboard. The only reason Bakies/Victor (btw has the tops stats in SR) has been drafted in is because of the crazy injuries we have had at lock. Also these guys are part of the squad not the starting 15 - which 'home' players would you have in their place? There purpose is to also guide and mentor young players not deny young talent - once again please tell me which lock in SA have more exp and are better than them? FDP is the best scrum half we have and it is also up to the youngsters to put their hands up ... very few have.

Nervous coach? We only lost to the AB's last year and had one of the best seasons for some time. Blue Bulls 7 Players in the squad, only 3 forwards (I support the Stormers btw) Its the same formula Bok teams have been chosen on for years. Racism? Really? There are more non white players in this squad than previous ones? Can you elaborate on your sweeping statement? Willem Alberts (Sharks), Loose forward - 30 Test caps Bakkies Botha (Toulon, France), Lock - 78 Schalk Brits (Saracens, England), Hooker - 5 Schalk Burger (Western Province), Loose forward - 68 Marcell Coetzee (Sharks), Loose forward - 15 Damian De Allende (Western Province), Centre / Wing - 0 Lodewyk de Jager (FS Cheetahs), Lock - 0 Juan de Jongh (Western Province), Centre - 14 Bismarck du Plessis (Sharks), Hooker - 57 Jannie du Plessis (Sharks), Prop - 51 Fourie du Preez (Suntory, Japan), Scrumhalf - 67 JJ Engelbrecht (Blue Bulls), Centre / Wing - 12 Johan Goosen (FS Cheetahs), Flyhalf - 4 Bryan Habana (Toulon, France), Wing - 95 Cornal Hendricks (FS Cheetahs), Wing - 0 Francois Hougaard (Blue Bulls), Scrumhalf - 27 Zane Kirchner (Leinster, Ireland), Fullback - 28 Siya Kolisi (Western Province), Loose forward - 10 Willie le Roux (FS Cheetahs), Fullback / Wing - 12 Francois Louw (Bath, England), Loose forward - 28 Victor Matfield (Blue Bulls), Lock - 110 Teboho “Oupa” Mohoje (FS Cheetahs), Loose forward - 0 Tendai Mtawarira (Sharks), Prop - 53 Lwazi Mvovo (Sharks), Wing - 7 Coenie Oosthuizen (FS Cheetahs), Prop - 14 Ruan Pienaar (Ulster, Northern Ireland), Scrumhalf - 74 JP Pietersen (Sharks), Wing - 51 Jan Serfontein (Blue Bulls), Centre - 9 S’bura Sithole (Sharks), Wing / Centre - 0 Gurthrö Steenkamp (Toulouse, France), Prop - 49 Frans Steyn (Sharks), Utility back - 53 Morné Steyn (Stade Francais, France), Flyhalf - 54 Flip van der Merwe (Blue Bulls), Lock - 34 Marcel van der Merwe (Blue Bulls), Prop - 0 Duane Vermeulen (Western Province), No 8 - 16 Callie Visagie (Blue Bulls), Hooker - 0
