  1. come on he was way back and you know it.
  2. Amazing how only those who have already pinned their anti-Hamilton sentiments to the mast see it as a racing incident. Anyone who knows anything about racing knows that that was Hamilton's corner. Wolf and Lauda said from the start Rosberg's move was unacceptable. Yes, Wolf clarified the semantics that Rosberg made a point of holding his line not causing an accident deliberately, but read between the lines - he knew that so doing would lead to an accident with his teammate and was still prepared to do it. Rosberg demonstrated yesterday that he wants the title so badly he will do anything, thereby making Hamilton's assessment of Monaco seem not very far fetched at all.
  3. Speaking of... how about this 68 degrees...
  4. Hmmm... JEV kept Riciardo pretty honest, and now he is the next big thing...
  5. It won't be on the stick itself, but the files should be saved on your c drive... Assuming you are running windows try have a look here: C:\Users\{YOUR_NAME}\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices\{ID_NUMBER_OF_YOUR_DEVICE}\Activities
  6. They also always have a cool quick turnaround service at the Argus expo complete with techies etc. That said, Garmin FTW. Unrivalled after-sales service year round.
  7. Yes and comments from both Toto and Lauda seem to suggest they realise that in hindsight the call to let Rosberg pass was the wrong one. I am actually very impressed with Merc management on the whole. They have given their guys far more rope than most to race and fight it out fair and square. They certainly don't have to worry about constructors points so why the heck not. What they will get which RB and Ferrari in the past lost then is goodwill from the fans in addition to lots of wins.
  8. Yes true, the difference between my comment and Bernie's is mine was in jest - Bernie was deadly serious.
  9. Awesome race! They should soak the track at the start of each race at Hungary (and Monaco)... Great drive Hamilton and Fonsie. And Ricciardo - what a star! Sebastion who?
  10. See Hamilton and Rosberg went to dinner with Lauda instead. Hamilton because he was still sore from his high speed crash following the failed brembo, and Rosberg "to avoid injury". My first off thought was a night out with Lauda could be just as if not more risky than a cycle along the Danube, but then I realised Sutil probably wouldn't be there, so fair enough.
  11. Yes so Sutil breaks a champagne glass in a pub and cuts up the neck of an F1 investor, in so doing sending him fleeing from the venue with bood pouring from his neck , and Hamilton is the bigger chop for not lying to a court to get him off.
  12. I agree but I lose sympathy because he is always the quickest to dish out blame to others, always has been. Yet he should look in the mirror to see what the common denominator is. Outside of that, as you say, nice guy. Valteri is better though
  13. I don't believe in any conspiracy theory, but the lack of a safety car was frankly bizarre and quite shocking Anyone familiar with what happended to Tom Pryce and the young Kyalami marshal at the SA GP of 1977 would know why. This in a sport so concerned about safety that the last race was delayed for an hour while the armco was fixed for an impact unlikely to reoccur in the next 100 races (not saying thatdelay was wrong by the way)
  14. @ JohnnyBravo, Massa creates his own bad luck.
  15. I would like to see the guy with more wins at the end of the season win the championship - and not the one with more second and third places and/or the one who just happens to take Bernie's stupid double point bonanza in the last race of the season...
  16. Wow, so many issues. OK so you don' like Hamilton. Got it. I thought it was a fantastic aggressive drive from him. His biggest mistake was assuming Button was letting him through (as he did at Silverstone I think), but to still almost get second with a car that was chewing front left tyres - fantastic drive, and great tv. And his comment about Rosberg getting another gift is factually correct. One or 2 of those gifts were Hamilton's doing, but mostly it was the racing gods. One of those things - and the wheel turns.
  17. Well at least unlike the red bull domination we have a genuine intra-team battle, so for me its still been a great season. I guess if I was a huge Vettel or Alfonso fan I might have felt a bit different... I do agree the engine homologation is a bit strange given there is nothing Renault and Ferrari can do to catch up on that front until season end.
  18. Sure but my point was this isn't going to be added to the gymbunnies cocktail and thereby accidentally end up in Daryl's recovery drink.
  19. Can be true for steroids, not for pharmaceuticals that can be masking agents...
  20. It seems like an unlikely drug to contaminate a supplement since unlike steroids its not the kind of substance that would ever be added to a supplement. The article linked does not say how this was proven or argued in the case of the Canadian swimmer - I'd be interested to know how this argument was made. Also, in that case apparently the Canadian swimming body supported a lenient sentence - can't see that happing in Daryl's case. Would love to be wrong.
  21. And it was hubby's engine that failed too... She gets another chance in Germany though.
  22. Finally got to watch the race last night - was a good one - some fantastic dicing between 2 grumpy world champs with each telling tales on the other. Also nice to see a bit of pace from the Ferrari. Hamilton was reeling Rosberg in and its a pity we didn't get to see that played out as I reckon he would have had in in the third stint if not the second. Rosberg was due a DNF though and its good the championship is still up for grabs.
  23. Funny thing is a couple of years ago my LBS had a better price on a Euroway and I asked the woodmead guys if they would just match the price - not interested so bought it at the LBS...
  24. So noone's used Koos @ CL>? there is a CL members special for R500 on to end July for a full retul setup. Seems like good value but I don't want someone tinkering with my poisition without a couple of good references... ??
  25. Anyone done a retul setup with Koos at CL Fourways? Looking for first hand references...?
