  1. Road - Blue and White (with some red) or just Blue(with some red). MTB - Red and White, Red and Yellow, Red.(I fall a lot and don't need clash of colours)
  2. I feel real sorry for that group of riders, my heart goes out to the deceased and injured. (Sad that Gareth is actually proving himself to be real immature with his sassy comments and even sadder that he gets away with it in this day and age, what can us mere mortals do about it?)
  3. All of you should try this out, don't flow with the traffic but ride at the speed limit or under, note the rude looks and abuse that gets thrown your way. Now imagine what goes through some of those minds when they see a fit, healthy, happy cyclist in front of them? Just food for thought. PS - I travel 4000 - 8000km/month so I get plenty abuse, I ride my car like I ride my bike, with care and consideration for others. GLAD THE YOUNGSTER IS OK
  4. Dannyboi, myself and Weekend Wan....oops, Weekend Warrior get passed by all and sundry at the moment, we are still building up the courage to do a MTB funride, anyway if we do Robertson I lose a case of beer.
  5. Now you say it is a feminine question, WHAT A CAN OF WORMS YOU ARE OPENING. What about the undecided sexes, ie. Gay and Lesbian, don't they have a say in the matter?
  6. Up the singletrack to pi$$ off the guys coming down and then down the singletrack to moan at those coming up
  7. pretty much all in denial . . . . yawn !! - Don't go there Once you gone its fine for you but your loved ones are the people who have to sit for the rest of their lives without you. Go be "THE MAN" then brother. - Must we all sit an worry our lives away, you ride a car, you live in SA, you breathe the air, you go to the shops, MUST WE STOP ALL THIS ALSO I am on the right forum my friend i take risks all the time and the reason i ask this question is also to my self ... IS IT WOTH IT ? - YES IT IS PS: i dont smoke and guzzel beer i watch what i eat because i like to ride my bike and that is why i am on this forum - YAWN I AM GETTING TIRED, LIVE YOUR LIFE, ENJOY IT AND STOP WORRYING, WE KNOW HOW BAD THINGS ARE BUT IT'S NOT THAT BAD(IT CAN GET WORSE - NOW THAT IS REASON TO WORRY)
  8. thats what i said ... my question is why do you still do it knowing this ? It's better than sitting at home worrying your life away. I don't jump robots or stop streets, I ride single file, I concentrate and stay safe most of the time. If I hear a car coming up fast behind me I pull over, same as with a truck(no matter the speed). I don't EXPECT them to get out of my way. I basically respect other road users and LOW AND BEHOLD, I get respect back, lots of smiles, thank you and waves. By you been ultra careful you cut the odds down dramatically of been a statistic. I would urge all cyclists to do so and see the difference it makes. You might use a lot of facial muscles smiling but it does make a difference, remember - to lift your middle finger up at a motorist means you must remove one hand off the handlebars, not safe. Rather smile
  9. Either way you don't win - The cars take you out on the road or Mother Nature takes you out on the Single Track(or is it just me?). Won't stop me from enjoying myself though.
  10. Do I hear a CHALLENGE, OK it's on. Place - TOKAI Time - 8am 07 June 2008 On the line - CASE OF BEERS Are you man enough - first to the tower wins - and if anyone moans at you I will spank there bottoms for you - OK(PS - if you chicken out we can discuss it over a case of Windhoek)
  11. I heard they were full of bruises and there clothing was torn, so they must be roadies just like me and fall down a lot hence the moodiness
  12. I wonder what they would say to me when they come across me lying in the path, cause that's what I seem to do quite often lately. Must be a balance thingy. Prefer going up the ST, don't fall that hard that way. Weekend Warrior and I ride together quite often, he might be slow but that's no reason to swear at him.
  13. Check my Avatar, rather ride that and get rid of frustrations and save my legs for another day
  14. WOW and here I thought it was a pic of me in my birthday suit. I think he's gone overboard with the diet thing.
  15. Landrover LWB/MTB with a BMW engine/driver always spells trouble
  16. Cheers Willehond, one less guy to lap me round Killarney. Nice meeting you and talking your ears off. Wish you and your family all the best.
  17. My experience at Tokai has been great 1 - I always ask how many riders are behind the guy passing and I always say how many are with/behind me. 2 - I find it easier for the guy/me going uphill to stop quickly(Yes I am slow) 3 - Respect the track and other people/joggers/cyclists/walkers and you get plenty smiles etc. 4 - uphill/downhill - all the same to me, I SUFFER
  18. And they are out of stock, or is it MADE TO ORDER? What a beauty, 9kg WOW.MMMMMMMM, I THINK IT IS TIME TO DOWNGRADE THE HOUSE AND UPGRADE MY RIDE.
  19. Remember to trim your nails otherwise it doesn't matter which way it faces, your finger still goes through the paper
  20. Drill holes in the frame, remove some spokes, plenty more you can do. In my case I just lost a hell of a lot of weight but seriously, get decent rims that can take your weight then you don't remove spokes as you ride.
  21. Saw a guy riding in Pinelands on a Cervelo, same as in the pic, this morning, still trying to figure out what the smile was all about. Would that have been you?
  22. Take him on a nice cycle - inform him - teach him - leave women out of it, otherwise he gets sidetracked. He might think he is Gods gift to women but this is Gods gift to all of us and the reason why we enjoy cycling. Anyway, we all know he is paid for being a donkeys A$$ so let him be.
  23. So what is my 28km/h classed as?
