  1. Hi all, question on grind size....I'm using a Severin grinder, grind on its max/coarsest setting or very close. 90% of my coffee is made using a french press. (I grind finer when using the moka pot) Is this grind too fine for a french press?
  2. Do you rinse your strap after each use? I rinse mine briefly in the shower and let it hang on the towel rail to dry....they last me years (and are used 6 times a week).
  3. https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/cx-gravel-reviews All your questions on rolling resistance answered.
  4. Or you are just in desperate need of a refreshing beverage!
  5. Thanks but thats the HP version. I'm looking for the HV option. Seems to be a stock problem
  6. Yeah 100%...its cost me the R65 shipping to get them to JHB. They have won a future customer.
  7. Contacted the guys at Lyne, and unfortunately they don't sell the spares as a loose item however they did offer to send me some second hand pawls they had lying around at no charge....pretty happy with that. ????
  8. Thanks for the link to the tech manual. I took my cassette off the freehub this morning....there are no threads on the axle for the end cap to screw onto. The only threads are on the freehub body itself which the cassette screws onto. Looking at the end cap it does look like there is a cut-out / space for a circlip or something similar but looking at the assembly I'm not sure how it would actually fix the endcap to the axle. I think my one may just be designed to slip on and off.????‍♂️
  9. Thanks I'll have a look later today
  10. Thanks will try
  11. Please let me know! Its hellava annoying. Perhaps I'm missing a lock ring.
  12. Last night I realised that one of the pawls in my hub is missing. (XD Driver hub). I'm not sure how long its been missing as the cassette (and hub) does have a habbit of sliding off the axle if gravity allows it. I've never thought to double check all the pawls were still there before putting it back on. Last night when it fell of I noticed one of the pawls come free and so I reinstalled it, and then realised another was missing. Despite many frantic minutes on my hands and knees scouring the floor with a cellphone torch I couldn;t find it. Whats the solution? Do I need to buy a complete new hub or can I find spares?
  13. Yeah I did thanks. All I did was find the wiring that connected the LED I currently have, and then split that cable wiring the new LED into it too. Ours is permanently on or off so no idea how you'd go about introducing a timer into the equation.
  14. Any idea where I can get one? (The pocket drive HV)....google says Cycle Lab have the Grip Drive HV but I can't find the Pocket Drive HV version
  15. Thanks guys. Seems the lezyne pocket drive is the way to go. I either ride 47mm tires on 650b rims or 30mm and up on 700c rims so I think the HV is for me. I don't need anywhere near 90psi
  16. Looking for a mini pump...one with a hose so I don't have to worry about trying to hold the valve steady when inflating. Recommendations? A quick google yielded the following: https://www.cyclelab.com/product/syncros-boundary-2-0hv-mini-pump?utm_campaign=13949563359&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=534506606852&utm_term=&adgroupid=128643840367&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3f6HBhDHARIsAD_i3D8JDom3grdZSvyPA9qr3Kum4s1LSdKXblCIsUtwJzWskHs2_P9gANkaAi7rEALw_wcB https://www.cyclelab.com/product/ryder-airhose-sl-120-psi-pump?utm_campaign=13949563359&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=534506606852&utm_term=&adgroupid=128643840367&gclid=Cj0KCQjw3f6HBhDHARIsAD_i3D_-YTqBkpB2n_y_UhTPaV9wQDQgAw1WYpuLxKZRaYhl9BN8fPMoHToaArKPEALw_wcB https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/product/lezyne-sport-drive-hp-pump/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw3f6HBhDHARIsAD_i3D_gAka5qQG3ZwuIYSepqUPdwyg8AM3faDc1eW8d5slCUoSsg5dtHEAaAlg8EALw_wcB I'd like to be able to carry it in a jersey pocket so size is a factor
  17. Anyone have any experience / knowledge with Texecom home alarm systems? I want to wire an LED into the system so that I can see when the passive sensors outside are armed. There is already an LED that does this visible from the driveway so you can arm\disarm when you leave or come back. But I want another in the house so I can tell when we have armed the sensors that cover the garden. Thought it would be relatively simple as all I have to do is replicate the LED already wired in but looking at the panel its beyond me. I have tried google/youtube without much success
  18. I've used these guys for group hires before https://www.francebikerentals.com/ 15 bikes hired from them, no issues. (except I think one or two didn't come with a 32 rear which caused more complaining than anything else)
  19. Ran here last year (or the year before...COVID memory fog)....absolutely beautiful
  20. Just worried about the sizing...I have a S frame so need to grab a measuring tape
  21. Wow I'm glad I'm a lighter runner. If I had to print mine out they would all show more than 1,200kms
  22. If they come back and tell me that the stock was actually out I'll be furious
  23. I don't like to gloat....but I just bought the last one. Soon to be a regular poster on the weight loss thread
  24. I'm really disappointed in the hub. I would have been all over that deal
