  1. Can you cycle on the highway? Yes Is it legal? No
  2. I hear what you're saying, but... Enduro is still very small in SA, and if their intention is to get a bit of coverage with this event and try spread it over the entire country eventually then I think its ok. I'm just glad there are people trying to promote enduro in SA. Plus KZN (and WC it seems) do have the best trails for enduro in the country
  3. 20KM OF CLIMBING!!!
  4. Because the "purists" think its uncool This is why you should keep TP in your hydration pack
  5. If it was in the fridge it should be fine. Do the old sniff test before you drink it - just in case..
  6. Thanks for all the replies. Looks like the T1s with FCS is the option to go for.
  7. Nobody?
  8. I know (wyatt very politely pointed out the difference), I was taking the P!ss. Read the whole thread to put it in context
  9. Just move your saddle back by 10mm - same thing. Just don't expect an efficient pedal stroke
  10. Nope, but I might have a few hens teeth for you Closest I've seen is the 50mm straightline stem on CRC, although slick might have taken the last one...
  11. Dial'd never seems to have stock of anything. I would love to see what their store room looks like - probably has tumbleweeds rolling through it
  12. Thanks.. Check out buycycle.co.za They've got the Easton Haven 70mm in black - a bit pricey though and The Loaded AMX 45mm (same as my stem) in various colours.
  13. Hahaha! Its to make the bike roll faster on jeeptrack Seriously though, I damaged my MK a few weeks ago, and the crossmark was what I had lying around. I knew someone would make a comment about that
  14. I have a gold stem too, its what all the cool kids are doing And as you can clearly see from the pic, my seat is in the totally wrong position for an effective pedal stroke... But I ride with flats and baggies, so my pedal stroke is f*$ked anyway...
  15. Was that so hard? To give a decent answer without being douchy about it first?
  16. At least NSBB can add some value as to why my statement is "bull dust" You as usual adding no value..
  17. So last weekend I had a minor lie down in the dirt at groenies. When I got home I noticed the top cap on the master cylinder of my XT brakes was dented, and is leaking fluid slightly. This is perfect justification to get some new brakes I am looking at these two sets of formulas from CRC: Formula R1s Disc Brake Set 2012: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/formula-r1s-disc-brake-set-2012/rp-prod93694 Formula T1s Disc Brake Set 2012: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/formula-t1s-disc-brake-set-2012/rp-prod93693 Anyone have any experience with these specific models? Are they a good deal, or should I rather be looking at something else?
  18. The stem would work, Colour doesn't suit the bike really. Go with black, or if you want a bit of bling, red might look cool. Just remember if you go with a shorter stem, you might have to adjust the saddle position.
  19. What is this blasphemy!!!
  20. Cant wait to see the end result.
  21. Skill has nothing to do with it. As long as you wear baggies, and fit some flat pedals, you'll be fine ...Oh, and if you wear knee pads, you might end up winning it
  22. Dude! I thought you liked sausage fests I'm more worried about snoring and farting than homosexual tendencies But I'm on a tight budget, so I'm cool with whatever we can organise...
  23. Cool, keep us updated.
  24. Hey dude, did you find out about the accommodation?
  25. Blue doesnt go with my white and red scheme, but then again my gold stem doesnt really go either... Oh well
