  1. No. But it's all the energy I'm prepared to spend on you..
  2. It was a 2012 FIT RLC, but yes, it was spaced to 140mm when I bought it, I took the spacer out to get it back to 150mm
  3. So many pages of bu!!**** here, all I can say is: Pot, Kettle, Black Proof below: Painting people who ride the spruit with the same brush. IMO you Dangle / Wyatt are nothing but a hypocritical troll. The thread was doing just fine until you came in with your six shooters blazing...
  4. Ok, cool. I'm sure you made your money back... perhaps even a profit?
  5. Sorry to hear dude, but at least you got a cool bike in the end. And if that RS isnt doing its duty up front, you can always space the Fox to 140mm and pop that on
  6. I really like the hope calipers... the levers, not so much. I think a Hope / Shimano Hybrid would be really cool - Hope Calipers, and a mix of hope shimano lever / MC, and convert it to mineral oil
  7. Its simple. If you want expensive, bling, arguably good looking looking brakes that have been CNC machined from a billet of aluminium and work really well - then you get Hopes. If you want brakes that are a little kitch looking with all the crome plastic, but work pretty much equally as well as Hopes, have nicer levers (IMHO), dont use horrible DOT fluid, but cost a lot less - then you get XT (not XTR or Saint)
  8. Ya, we lost about 10mins on SP1 so Im glad our times didn't show, if I had to complain about something that would be it. So please Syd - better markings next time Other than that, it was awesome.. Oh, and a shuttle to the top of SP1 would also be nice
  9. Allegedly... Trail builders up here have a different mentality to the guys in kzn it seems.
  10. If it says so on strava, then it must be true..
  11. What an awesome weekend of riding. Totally agree, the trails in kzn are insane, the Karkloof green routes are more challenging than a lot of the black routes up here in gauteng.
  12. Fair enough, I was actually thinking about XT's compared to M4's ... Hope don't make a lower priced XT equivalent, and if they did it would be Hope all the way With the lever thing, I mean that the new shimanos are designed purely as a 1 finger lever. The hopes are a 2 finger design, that also work in a 1 finger application. I just find the shimano levers really comfy to use, and think it would be awesome if hope could offer an option like that.. But anyway not trying to start a pissing contest... back to Crows awesome bike
  13. This point could only be valid if Hopes were the same price as shimanos. Kinda like saying, why do some people buy a vw tiguan when the audi q5 is so much better? And if hope can make a true 1 finger lever like the new shimanos, then they would be perfect. I do think the clicking noise the hope floating rotors make when they get hot is really cool though
  14. DONT PM Crow about a Mojo HD frame!!! You will end up spending a lot of money
  15. That changes things a bit. Pity about the Jabula, probably your best bet under 20k. Perhaps one of the commencal frames? Never shimmed a dropper before so I dont know, I think if you grease the post properly it should be ok..
  16. Find a 2nd hand Ibis Mojo HD. checks all the boxes, except the seat post diameter. And if you got a 30,9 dropper, you can just shim it to fit 31.6. A lot of the boutique frames use a 31,6 seat tube. In fact for 20k you can get just about any top of the range frame 2nd hand. Why you not allowed a Jabula?
  17. Everyone knows that Vitamin P is the fastest colour
  18. Ibis HDR? in 650B
  19. I shipped a fork to Durban recently. Postnet counter to counter was cheapest of the well known couriers. There were a few ones that were cheaper, but I had never heard of them before and didn't want to take a chance. Prices varied widely though, from R350 down to R90, all for the same service. Makes you wonder...
  20. All the forks I've measured have a bit more stanchion length than the travel ie. my 150mm fox had a 156 mm stanchion. I guess you just don't use the whole length in your travel..
  21. All you need is a big syringe, some 2mm fish tank tubing, a little container of sorts, some allen keys and a size 7mm or 8mm spanner (forget the exact size) Easiest brakes ever to bleed..
  22. Can you cycle on the highway? Yes Is it legal? No
  23. I hear what you're saying, but... Enduro is still very small in SA, and if their intention is to get a bit of coverage with this event and try spread it over the entire country eventually then I think its ok. I'm just glad there are people trying to promote enduro in SA. Plus KZN (and WC it seems) do have the best trails for enduro in the country
  24. 20KM OF CLIMBING!!!
