  1. I was also one of the many that rode the M4 this Saturday, the ambulances were already there when I got there, so I tried to ride past without looking, so that I would be able to ride the route again without a strong memory to disturb me. Its not going to happen, I will not ride the M4 again, and it was my Saturday and Sunday training route. My condolences to her Family
  2. Havn't seen a plastic frame, but have seen pictures of a handmade bamboo frame with carbon lugs
  3. Does anyone else makes a tubeless rim that does not cost the earth
  4. I have a carbon Giant, and descend like a loon, no wobble,Infact I regularly decend in the high 50's without holding the bars. what I will say is do not put more weight forward if you are wobbling, that will put more weight on your arms, which in tern stifferns them, which will amplify the wobble, get your weight back and lighten your grip.
  5. 860 Euro
  6. Comobike, Check out the banner top right (when its not CWC that is)
  7. Anyone going to post a short summary for us
  8. Has anyone done a successful home conversion, The price you pay for a stans/DT Swiss conversion kit is rediculous for what it is. Wouldn't mind knowing exactly what you used, and how it was done
  9. A few of the serious Imana Wild Ride teams take 2.3's and grind/cut them down to semi-slicks for use on the beach, (It's hard to come by a 2.3 semi)
  10. There are two things that make Camelpack better that the rest. 1 The opening on their bladders is big enough to get your hand in and clean it out quickly and properly. 2 their bite vaulves dont leak. I own and use 6 different hydration systems, for various sports, and nothing I have used compares, pay the premium and get on with hassel free hydration.
  11. Mint, It would appear that You are looking for another argument
  12. No Worries, I'd also take exception at being called a trail wrecking amateur
  13. After watching Greg Minnaar do a 30 foot controlled endo, I'd have to say disks must have pretty good modulation. I've reacently got my first set of disks (Juicy 7's) and they are powerful, without being on or off, So I'm going to take the now rather grumpy MintSauce's side on this one
  14. Mampara, For a lot less than a set of disks, you can get yourself a set of Avid Arch Rivals, about the best rim brakes arround, also check out Chainreactions sale on avid Singlle digit 7's. I've done two bikes up in the last 2 months with LX shifter/brake combo (not the dual) and SD7's, absolutely brilliant braking, better than my XT duals with SD Ti's and ceramic SL's.
  15. MichH, Sounds like the top tube is too long, If you are looking straight down the fork, a normal stem is not going to be short enough. look for a downhill stem, only about 20mm. Also you can look at moving your seat forward, provided a plumb line from your front knee, (when the peddles are horizontal) does not extend past the centre of your peddle spindle.
