  1. Next tome you are in the que at Woolworths food, look at their bars, they are not sports bars, so are not marked up to hell, but the carp/protein/fat ratios are perfect for me. and they tast the bomb.
  2. Thanks Parra, The top one is what I remember. Yay, not completely lost; yet.
  3. I know their driving can be imensly frustrating, but before hating to much, remember that it is the only un-subsidised mass transport system in the world. If the taxi's wern't there we'd be paying even more tax to subsidise rail and bus services.
  4. Years ago I saw a couple of bike wheels that were "Snowflaked" the spokes were twisted arround each other. Does anyone else remember this, or is my memory twisting things
  5. Allocation between groups is randomised some are blinded, but mostly unblinded
  6. Hi Intern, I see in your list of hocus pocus you included Chiropractic. Surely when you do clinical trials with placebo groubs and a statistacly significant sample sizes and achieve results it is not hocus pocus? Network chiropracting may well be hocus pocus but to flame chiro as a whole is a little off side, especially when real evidence exists. Regards Bruce

Well done to the caveman, and bad luck Dan. Conrad rocks, absolutely love his food philosophy. something along the lines of "If it grows; eat it" apparently he is not afraid of a monster steak. just will not touch anything that has been processed or preserved.
  8. It also takes some balls and conviction to go after your employer that hard.
  9. If your powerband is in your pits, you are wearing incowrongly. positioned this close to the heart may however make your heart stronger and thus chicks will dig you more than wearing axe

Hi, So the entries are open to last years participants. I was wondering who's in again, just trying to get a feel of how many of the 350 slots will be snapped up before it goes public. And who's looking to get one of the slots that aren't taken
  12. You planning on hiding or soloing. Also what deep sections? I'm deffinately going to be running cosmic Carbones. Let it roll baby roll. I do not think there is enough climbing to go lightweight, and unless the west howls cross wind is not a factor. (Ps. if the west howls it'll probably be raining in which case stay in bed)
  13. I'm the own Giant bycycles type of giant; I'm 5'6" and have wet spagetti for arms
  14. We'll Arine was not arround that day and did not say when he'd be back, So in his absence I had to use his steroid using alterego
  15. One of the reasons I service my own bike most of the time was I was sick of some hack spanner jockey tightening my pedals to the point where I needed the 15 spanner and the long handled allan key and conan the destroyer to loosen it.
  16. K2 all well and good, but does not translate at all well in afrikaans. "crack a frame" not good
  17. I'm a huge fan of large tyres, just be careful Maxis Aspen 2.35, and Vredestein Killer Bee 2.4 DO NOT FIT on my anthem adv. The aspen fitted for a few hours, but overnight streached. on the fron, anything will fit. Love the aspen, runing a std one tubless up front, bitch to seat, but 100% since. Hate crossmark
  18. Crack, Get hold of Mark Forster from Good2go on 076 895 1576. (Dbn based) He is one of the best spanner men arround, and will do a workshop if you get a couple of guys together.
  19. Giant Anthem 29er will be here in a few weeks, full xt bike is @ 29k i believe. Sure you can find a little more crown, you probably have 2 more paydays before they are in stock
  20. I've had big time sellers remorse. Sold my TCR Composite with cosmic carbones, nad almost instantly regreted it. Then bought a pair of ex-team carbones to ease the pain, but they arrived fairly well scratched. a year later I still have not ridden them, I don't have a road bike. Waste of money.
  21. if you are really worried, get an x-ray
  22. Easy Tiger, What did I do to you
  23. Why not have single at the back, with a normal tripple crank, and front derailer?
  24. Well, report back time. This weekends ride with a new tyre setup. (Front: New Aspen 2.25 non ust run tubeless at 1.8 bar; Back: pretty well used 2.1 Crossmark Lust @ 2 bar) Ride 1: Xcountry nationals course at cascades pmb. Conditions are very dry and powdery in places. Very happy with the Aspen, rolls well, and does not dig in in the sandy stuff, honestly hooked up as well as the 2.1 nevegal it replaced, and better in some conditions. Started of enjoying the back end drift of the crossmark, it drifts a lot more than the Nevegal it replaces. then got into some steep stuff, and I just could not slow the bike down, using the same front back brake balance as i have for ever, I dont even think, just do, all that happened is that the back end would let go and I'd not slow down at all. Ride 2: 20km race arround baynesfield estate, part of a multisort race, bone dry, not as technical, but lots of single trac, some rocks and lots of sandy single track near a river, and then cane roads. Fast combination, floated over the sand, again one or two scetcy corners when I just could not shrug off speed quickly enough. Ride 3: Single track heven Hilton/Cedara, this is flowing and fast single track, some tracks had lots of gum twigs and leaves tyres were good. probably perfect in well used flowing single track, and seemed better than expected over the leaves and twigs. My oppinion. Maxis Aspen is a great tyre, it rolls well, has great volume, so can be run at low preasure, and has more than enough grip. Crosmark is not my favourit tyre, under hard breaking it lets go too quickly, I preffered the Larsen TT
