  1. Haha, Why not phone them...
  2. Price if I may ask? Not on the carbon29r website.
  3. Only a pleasure. Remember you want to train heavy and race light. So heavy wheels for everyday riding and some nice light wheels for racing.
  4. Or easton tubs etc. Just ask when you find a pair you want and we will give you some advice.
  5. Second hand set of Shimano tubulars off the hub and use current wheels for training. Way better deal.
  6. From a recent experience people said they lack lateral stiffness. People had a chance to test them and those were their comments. Maybe they can fix this?
  7. Not necessarily a roadie. Loads of new cyclists joining the sport. It's the new golf.
  8. I am 100 percent sure there is no social Qubeka club that you can actually join for regular rides in Cape Town. With them riding on the wrong side of the road they most probably are very social riders who are new to the sport trying to get some time in before the DC.
  9. Could very well be some mtn staff. They use the Qubeka bikes at moonlight mass.
  10. Ah, then I wouldn't know them.
  11. Well I know you can buy the Qubeka kit at mtn stores...
  12. http://www.club100ct.co.za/contact Not sure if this team is what you are talking about but my club 100 top sports a nice Qubeka logo.

  14. I emailed the organizers and David Bellairs called me back re various issues. Sadly David wasn't very helpful and basically told me to just run the gravel bit in my carbon shoes. Not sure what shoes he has but mine don't offer much grip and I battle walking when wearing them. He told me he has done millions of races trying to change the topic the whole time.
  15. Say what???
  16. Welkom, Wamkilekile, Dumela, Howzit timefly. TBH the cycle lain on Campground road isn't ideal. pedestrians walking on the path and cars are often parked on the path. I cycle from Claremont to Pinelands most days and always seem to break a sweat... I want a bike with a luggage rack as carrying a backpack isn't the best option but just haven't got around to doing it. Mix between the new and old racing bike for me at the moment.
  17. Turn the adjusting barrel on the rear de-railer a few turns anti clockwise. Will increase the cable tension. Look on park tools and they will give you some info.
  18. If I ride with a saddle bag my thighs will touch the bag on every pedal stroke. Could be the reason why.
  19. Cycle to the DC.
  20. Email "splat" on this forum.
  21. Have been coming in on my Specialized Roubaix which comes with me into the office. Where are the squash courts? Could work out cheaper... But I need a locker whereby I can store stuff in there permanently.
  22. Well if he can get onto the cycle lane from durbanville he can go to century city via the cycle lanes, cross the bridge (over N1) cycle down 13th avenue (kensington) go over voortrekker road and go through the grave yard, over the pedestrian bridge that goes over the rail way lines and he is then at OM. Not sure how to get to century city from durbanville though as I know the cycle lanes follow the coast...
  23. Sexy.
