I think you are splitting hairs, being pedantic on something that I (wish to) believe was done in good spirit... Think of it like this: if there was no auction, would you have been betteroff than you are not winning it? ASG, I suggest when you re-open your auctions, change your rules to state something like the following: A bid needs to be at least R10 higher than the previous bid. The auction closes when the bidding clearly stopped, at ASG's discretion, but as a rough guide, when no valid increased bid was received within 24 hours of the previous. Or something to that effect...

Yes, I think a lot of commentators don't really understand how insurance works: (Splitting hairs, but) by and large, all the insured shares in the risk, not the insurer. The latter is just the intermediary that poold and assesses the risk, add a loading for expenses (& profit!) and determine the premium from that. Hence, it's claim policy needs to follow the underwriting policy and contractual stipulations. On a similar note (don't know whether it is urban legend, I share it anecdotally). Nope. Based on UCI points, each country gets allocated a number of riders per discipline and the locals then gets to choose who fill those berths. The ladies were "lucky" --> they were set for 2 spots, which were reduced to 1 spot due to super-ordinate allocation criteria. THen The Lady earned more points in the Free State, pushing them up to 3 spots....

Start earlier Yeah, it is a problem --> I encounter it on the commute home. There too, I follow my own advice and start earlier, before serious traffic starts, but still a problem. i am "lucky" in that traffic is only for the first 8 K's or so, so use that as an easy warm-up spin, with shallow breathing. After that, still a bit of traffic, but open winelands roads - heeha. Edit: Geez, that was a lot of typos
