  1. So at least have a little respect for people who are still trying to advance our sport by putting up events. Don't say thank you for yourself but please say thank you just because you are a cyclist and a general nice guy that appreciate their efforts and would only like to resolve an issue Just a thought. Use it, Don't.
  2. 110bcd: 110mm between opposite holes. On the 5 hole system you get 110 and 130 110 is typically reserved for "compact" chainrings 50/34 type stuff (But not limited to compact though) 130 is typically reserved for big blade stuff 54/42 etc. 10/11/12 speed blades should all work but with SRAM flat chain you might have issues is some cases.
  3. Dude.......no........it's too large. Racing setup asks for a 10-15mm drop from top of seat to bars. The pic shows they are level. He can go smaller. Smaller is better = more stiff. Secondly. It's a Merida. So anything else will immediately become better for him for racing, big or small.
  4. Its almost only in SA where there are people that will break other peoples accomplishments down just because. Climed Everest (the rock) . Good for you. Climed 9000m on a bike. Good for you. Live and let live man. Now go measure dicks somewhere else and get back to topic, yes?
  5. Was a close sprint I see for Reinhardt. A very cool jersey to show off in the US crits!
  6. Where are you planning to do the Everesting?
  7. So....stupid question. Do you just add it while the tyre is fully inflated or (like with superglue) deflate, glue, reflate?
  8. As pointed out above..........the big centers will attract more people. % of population. Easy math. Can you remember the crit they held in front of the Argus-pick-up-your-number building in the centre of CT back in the day when the Giro del Capo was held? LOTS and LOTS of people. I loved watching that racing.
  9. Crowds in Pretoria
  10. Crowds next to road in EL
  11. Well............ Let's see: Crowds next to Klerksdorp SA champs
  12. Mounting system is good yes. Highest level lasts around 2 hours. Works as advertised.
  13. Received this from a friend on Sunday: My friend got hit by a drunk driver this morning. He was riding out to meet us at Cedar and cheer us. He was airlifted to Milpark. Cyclists came across him lying in the road and took the drunk guy's keys away so he couldn't flee the scene.
  14. Chuck it in the adds and see what happens. Aim a little higher - R5k. Maybe someone takes it and he is clear to get a good fit bike.
  15. That's the funnies thing I have read on the Hub in a very long time. Thanks for the good laugh.
  16. Take it up with tannie Lenie, Lennick Event organiser. She'll listen and maybe do something about it. Moaning over here about it...........don't know what to do about it. Are people using gels and stuff with wrappers riding a 88km ride? 🤨
  17. It is such a pity that our national champs are held in a town so remote that only the 4 locals can go watch it. The field seems quality. Will be good racing.
  18. Tuesday club ride always has a bit of a bite in it..........
  19. Currently on Smoove. I echo the sentiments of buying local. Ride around 400km per week. Lube once a week after I wash my bike. Leave 24 hours to settle. Wipe the chain off with a wetwipe after every ride. I found that Squirt just don't last as long as smoove and it tends to gather more gunk than smoove.
  20. You must be going through lube like I go through coffee. If you stop cycling, Squirt will take a stock price dive. If I had to do that, I would have to lube 10 times per WEEK. Nope.

  22. Watts friction loss on this is apparently not too bad. But not awesome reviews in general. UFO Drip is also in that region but at least they get good reviews. Absoluteblack with their GRAPHENLUBE is $140 for 140ml.
  23. I've got spare locknuts.....don't know if its what speed or what brand. Up to you to see if it fits. Will be at Monte Casino race on Sunday if you want me to leave it there or meet up or or or.
  24. Second at Vuelta a San Juan on Wednesday
  25. Perfectly put. This is what I wanted to say about the jibirish they wrote but my boertjie English was not up to the task. Well said.
