  1. If I had something in my mouth it would have been on my screen & keyboard...
  2. Good explanation. The choice is yours & remains yours until... Would still like to hear the answer to the either created or cosmic 'accident'... anyone have another / better explanation?
  3. I do eat apples. Not my favourite fruit, but have 1 every now & again. Not worried about the 'fall to prey to religion)-haha @ 2. I don't go to church. As I feel that I don't learn from it. I rather do my own studies on certain subjects / chapters / books in the Bible & some mp3 material. thing is most of us have got an upbringing that had a certain religous view. So most of the time if someone comes with a 'new' idea that's upstream it will seem unconvincingly. Was just voicing my 'left field' view(s) 5. If someone would at least spend a fair amount of time on the subject & with an open mind the subject of religion / faith seems to be not so far fetched after all. Bottom line: We are either a result of creation or a cosmic 'accident' . Are there any more options?
  4. Good statements there. Even you have to admit that religious nutters do have a certain extent of logic. For 1: As society push out God & religion / faith in modern times it is obvious to see the crime rates hiking. I see it as logic enough. Look at what happened the year the USA done away with the 10 commandments with the sudden hike in crime... It's the 10 commandments from an imaginary / invisible person we're talking about there. Not the government laws that's been done away here. I'm a true mentally challenged- drummer / hiker / MTB-er (do I have to list 26' - then surely everyone will understand)
  5. OK-maybe we're on the wrong foot here. Didn't want to step on any toes- I am sorry. 1. Surely it's better to be a good person, right? Being a good or even an awesome person doesn't make you sinless, so who eliminates your sin if you are good, awesome etc.? If good is good enough for you, fine with me. Fight the good fight. 2. As I've said I'm still very new to faith. Have grown up attending church & since I've started to actually read the Bible you see a lot of differences in what they are teaching sometimes. I'm starting to scratch the surface. Cannot define faith for you yet-sorry, but I'm not gonna try & then succeed in driving you or any other person away (as it seems to be the case now) instead of it being the other way around. 3. Maybe I interpret it wrong - thanx for pointing it out to me. 4. It only says fruit, so to say apple is misleading. So would it be when saying a banana then or maybe a pineapple for that matter. Just imagine telling this story of Adam & Eve & calling it a banana - even the respectful atheists & other christians alike would LOL... 5. I was just voicing my opinion, but as you saw earlier I'm not too good with words & spelling Some people can't even spell, but they can sure build / repair an engine or whatever. Just tried to shed a bit of light on the subject. I guess trying & failing is better than sitting on the side & not even trying & discriminating since you can learn from mistakes. 6. Not askig everyone to be friends with me. Just saying I'm not bashing anyones thoughts & inputs & views here. In other words - I didn't mean to offend & if someone took offense-not intended that way.
  6. I'm with you on the first mentioned there-the nutters. Most people that call themselves christians are in fact a bit nutty. (you can call me nutty if you want-I'm still 'learning the right path'), but again: by just being a good father / husband / worker / man / rider / manager / diver (whatever) won't make justifiable before God. You have to have faith. The walk by faith on the other hand is not a new testament idea. Hab 2:4 View it as you want, but they tried to cover themselves- period? They sowed fig leaves together-not God. & it wasn't an apple, was it? I've actually got many personal & online atheist friends that respcet my opinion & not argue with me over it. We both have our views & I rspect what they 'believe'. I just pray that someday their eyes will be opened. Friends? everyone?
  7. OK- I'm a fair speller, but sometimes my fingers doesn't type what I'm planning on spelling. I still type with 2 fingers (per hand)& thumbs for space bar & try to type fast-ER LOL I'm sure you got what I was trying to say when I said cevered & maid Not trying to convince you or get into an argument-just stating my opinion. Jesus died & ROSE from the dead as a matter of fact. There were too many eye witnesses (spelling?) at the crucifiction & afterwards to make it off as fiction anyway. Yes people will make it off as a crap story, but people have different opinions & choose to believe what they want to. Eg. When the 'church' during the middle ages did what they did it was politically correct to be a christian. People thought that was the way to do things & if you step out of line you'll be excommunicated . Now that it's becoming more & more politically incorrect to be a (true) christian people choose bash & to make the church bad. Look at how many millions the christians have killed!!! If you say you're a downhill rider & don't ride downhills, only normal XC what does that make you? A liar (deceiver) & a(n?) XC rider. Not a downhill rider. You'll be known by what you do, not what you call yourself. Everyone is a "good king in their own mind" (got that piece from an In Flames song), but again satanists believe they are 'correct' as do homosexuals & our goverment leaders. This topic (religion / faith or whatever you want to call it) shouldn't be something to argument about. Faith which is hand in hand with love cannot be forced otherwise it is not from free will. If I bore you (not @ you TNT1) don't read my posts... Again-I'm not trying to funnel anyone into a specific direction. You have free will & can do with your sovereignity whatever you like. Sorry for the spellig mistakes (sure there's more than 10 ) Take care & drive safely (even with your 29ers)
  8. Sorry I said 'man - made' , but man tries to reconcile... Adam & Eve tried to cover themselves with fig leaves (first act of religion) when they ate of the forbidden fruit. Then God maid them clothes of skin to show them that by the shedding of innocent blood they will be cevered. The apostle Paul was a jew & he was saved (converted if you will) & was sent out to the gentiles. Religion is man's attempt to reconcile with God (YHWH) When Jesus (Yeshua) died on the cross he cried out: "Tetelistai" / it is finished. John 19:30
  9. Like I said 'christians' One should not make haste to church if you overslept from partying or whatever reason from the previous night-haha. Rather stay home.
  10. Yes if we could by our works get into heaven then you don't even need to believe. & obviously the more money you pour into the church the better seat is reserved for you in heaven... The other thing is some christians or even 'christians' (people saying they are) are just people like everyone here. I mean even professional riders fall. I thought he was pro - how could he fall on that elimentary corner?
  11. Interesting to see how many people try to 'get their say' (in a bashing way) here on a 'pretty normal' situation. If you fell while doing a trick or whatever on your bike & someone laughed would the thread be posted here of that 'sadist'? Religious lunatics... I know it's been said here, but you are allowed to ride on sunday. sunday isn't even the Sabbath. It's pretty intereting that it was changed from saturday to sunday by Constantine because he tried to unite the christians with the (2-3 different) sun worshippers of that time (32something AD). Most christians don't even know it & that's why they fail to defend their religion (for lack of a better word). Christians do not know what they stand for & why. They even think the promises clearly made to Israel was forfeit because of the rejection of Yeshua, but gladly stick out their hands for the blessings Israel was promised. Indeed I also thought that some people take it too far untill I started studying the Bible. At first glance it's easy to make it off as fiction & ridiculous etc. ,but when you really look into the hebrew (& greek) the picture gets colour. Christians dont need to observe Sabbath... Acts 15 if memory serves me well. It's true that we are saved by grace (God's riches at Chrit's expence if you will). We cannot keep the law (10 commandments - not 10 recommendations) The law is actually there to show us our need for salvation. Just my 2c Hope you get better soon
  12. Not picking on you here (Squier) , but since it's mentioned that a 29er goes over an obstacle & a 26er not (as easy). Have anyone actually measured the difference in size of a specific obstacle & ditch which you'll tumble overbars on a 26er & 29er? Basically what I mean is that while you might pedal lighter / less (watookaldieregtewoordinengelsis) will a 29er make you a lazier rider for obstacles? In other words you become a faster, but "weaker" rider on a 29er... I've ridden only a DS 29er (Anthem X2) & must say -not too big difference between it & my 26' Trance X1. At least not enough to spend double the moolas on. When is the 30.5" coming to destroy it's predecessors? Ride what you like/ can afford / what the situation asks for etc...
  13. HAVE GOT THE SAME PROBLEM-WILL PROBABLY END UP BUYING RESIN PADS...
  14. LOL- only saw this now along with the previous post. So true
  15. Was it that silver bike of yours? Probably a nigerian... Hope you find the bike.
  16. First Ascent Rulez!!! Almost all my sportswear is FA. Have got a big hiking wardrobe of FA & the cycling stuff is picking up too. Never had a hassle with their products
  17. @ DeCleated: How many falls so far? Also need to start with clips. My only problem is that I've bought the cranc brothers egg beaters (candy 2) so no tension adjustment. Will probably fall half a dosen times before getting used to it If all else fails I'll try the "fall in most embarrassing way in front of the hottest women possible"
  18. Makes sense. Will try & report back after trying. Thx J
  19. Now that's the big Q? I don't ride with any 'supportive' shorts yet. Looking at buying the First Ascent singletrack in the (very) near future. Guess it's gonna make a BIG difference?
  20. Yeah-I meant 'getting used to'. I do get a discomfort in the hip area too & I can just lift up for a few seconds & I feel it's better already. Didn't have this on my X-mission saddle, but the X-mission was 'hurting' me / pushing up towards the front end of the saddle although it was set level
  21. Very nice +3
  22. Of course it will. It's been foretold... in the BOOK 'youshouldnotbelievewhat'swritteninit'
  23. Could it also be that I'm not yet comfy with my seat because it's not yet 'broken in' according to my physique. How long does it take to 'brake in' a saddle? This saddle on this bike also felt good for a cheapie http://www.silverbacklab.com/web_gallery/stride10.htm
  24. Thx-you don't know where I can get DT X455's at reasonable price? J
