I saw that the ea70 are like R2300 on crc, but the rear is 142 x 12 & the guys at omnico doesn't know whether they could be converted to 135 x 9mmQR. Anyone here know? or know where to look for the 'axle conversion'? If it can be then I'll order the ea70 as well as a srt of havens as I've got 2 bikes & it can never hurt having 2 x such nice wheelsets

MoreWood surely has 'the looks' of downhill inspired, but there are some guys on xc races with GT 140/150mm travel bikes as well as some Giant reigns. I know I'll be the lone Shova guy pitching up at some races

Surely the free state is mainly flat, but eastern free state is not that flat. I love hikes in natal / drakensberg, so while I'm on my way there I'll take a detour & go karkloof & howick

Thanx for the replies! Yeah got it straigt from morewood. I've got a fair mech background so I'm considering doing it myself, but will see. I got it to do mostly XC / trail. Got a Zula as well that I'm very reluctant to sell, but I've always wanted a Shova since the first day I saw them! Apparently it's a very capabale bike handling just about anything you throw at it (obviously not full on DH), but it'll be too much machine for most of my (& guess also the average rider's) needs. Cant' wait for this bike to be complete!!! Need to spend more $$$ - lol

I've got 2 brand new shifters not mounted & the Xt feels so much smoother than SLX. If your shifting isn't 'in-line' or your chain keeps missing / skipping gears it could be something else like inner cable too long / short & needs adj at barrel or hanger plate that's bent etc.

OK - as this is my first bike I build from scratch I'll have some Q's that'll pop up from time to time. Here goes my first Q's: Which head sets are pretty durable ? MoreWood spec says 44mm semi integrated. Are these any good? (not sure whether they for MTB) http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/aest-internal-threadless-headset & fitment? Is it easy to do with 'normal' tools or do you have to have a special tool fit / press it in? I've got most tols you'll find in a mechanic's workshop. Which book(s) will be a good buy to huide me with some of the other 'issues' I can run into? Thanx J

I think this might be a bit much machine for the (most) of my riding, but I've been dreaming about a MoreWood since I started mtb-ing. Phone them up & give it a shot. Steve was very helpful through the whole purchase scenario. Just have the moolas ready in case you get the "what colour do you want it?" question comes from the other side of the line!!!

Hi all hubbers & hubberettes, This is my newborn BEAST!!! Have got most of the drive train components & brakes. Wheels & fork should be here within a month (damn - that's a full 30 days!!!) Hopefully have it up & running before the end of Sept!
