  1. "If we're brutally honest with ourselves we just weren't good enough tonight. We let people down who had started to believe in us again," Habana said. "We have come on since 2012 but we can't use growth as an excuse all the time. If you want to become the best in the world you have to get there. The All Blacks also have new guys but they are still winning." For what it's worth, I like the talk in this camp. Starting from HM and JdV and now the rest of the camp. Their attitude makes one feel they will get there.
  2. Great game but I’m not convinced we got an accurate answer to how far ahead the AB’s are in world rugby. Undoubtedly the best team yes and the biggest difference for me is the consistency of the AB’s vs the lack there-off from the Boks last night. The Boks were found well wanting playing so expansively and even with 14 men for 20 minutes just shows you how good the AB’s are at exploiting a sniff of an opportunity. The mistakes the Boks made is easy things to fix though, so I would take a lot of positives from this game. I also think we need to take a long term approach on the growth of this team. We are still a side that shows brilliance and class on occasion. You’d have to do that consistently, to beat the best team in the world. And that would be beating the AB’s at their own game. We’ve criticized the Boks for so long not playing attackingly enough, now when they finally did it, they neglected the part of the game that’s been their strength for so long. Defense! If we hadn’t been so sloppy, the AB’s would have found themselves under far more pressure, which could change everything on a night like last.
  3. Indeed. A few days ago it read 16K or something????
  4. In a big group like that, with that MOERSE lawaai, I can see how them bikers can feel waai to sterk gevriet for their own good.
  5. Unless something happened before which wasn't caught on camera, that biker was asking for it, slowing down in front of half a ton of metal.
  6. Where is the Coca Cola dome Suburb?
  7. I don't agree. As a certain BBC journalist once told Julius... "That's rubbish man." to which Juju replied:"Raaaabish is whaaat you hav in your pents!" Hehehe! (Sorry Dale no reference to you intended) but Seriously. No way can any amount of choice words equate to leg strength.
  8. They do. On the descends. At least Wiggo does. Hehehe
  9. I agree. It's tough but the record will show Costa won. Don't think any of us complained to loud when Ciolek did that to Sagan at Milan-San Remo.
  10. 14:47:58 CEST Froome has abandoned the world championships. After controlling the race for the first 100 kilometres, Britain has no rider in the main peloton of 75 riders with almost 100 kilometres of the Worlds still to go.
  11. Looks like them Italians up front are giving them hell
  12. I see the castelli "Gabba" jerseys came out. Must be getting chilly. And probably Wiggo's podium dreams in tatters on those wet descends
  13. Think we can still take it if we beat them with a bonus point and keep them from scoring one themselves. That way we take it on favourable points deferential.
  14. 10:50:43 CEST The British-led bunch winds its way through Collodi, which is the home of Carlo Collodi (penname of Carlo Lorenzini), the man who wrote Pinocchio. And to hammer home the point, a giant Pinocchio towers over the Worlds bunch as it zips through to
  15. 10:44:38 CEST What a difference twelve months makes. Tiernan-Locke withdrew from Britain's Worlds team citing a lack of form, but The Sunday Times reports that the UCI has begun investigating alleged irregularities in his biological passport, dating back to the months just before he joined Team Sky.
  16. We're off!
  17. 10:05:50 CEST Although the skies are slate grey over Tuscany and rain is falling steadily, the temperatures are a relatively pleasant 18 degrees.
  18. Yeah, also felt they didn’t get that “push” to move up a gear but the 2 cards (14 men for 20 minutes) curtailed things. Poor discipline although the Aussies came back with Genia on the park. Don’t they fly into Durban and do their preparations there, then fly into Joburg a couple of hours before kick-off??? Apparently that tricks the altitude voodoo.
  19. Sounds dodgy
  20. What time does the racing start today? Or broadcasting?
  21. The look on the girl' face says it all. Well done!
  22. Watte "Darren" is dit? Just plain dronkgat???? Is he still employed there?
  23. The Aussies mustn't complain when we pull them a fast one. With any other nationality we ought to have a little consideration when dealing with them. But with the Aussies, it's gloves off. All day. Every day. Hehehe
  24. More on the Stages PM... There is a comparison on the Vector review above which includes the Vector, Powertap, Quarq and Stages! ".....In summary, at present I don’t feel that the Stages Power unit will work for me as my primary power meter. The variations in data from workout to workout, and the variations within a workout make it difficult to analyze and come to meaningful conclusions on power-focused workouts. I do however feel that with more work on the software side, they may be able to stabilize some of the power outputs and ultimately simply have a known offset (due to left-leg power). However, there are still significant unanswered questions around how stable ones power balance is from left to right on both an individual basis, as well as throughout varying conditions over the course of training or racing. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2013/01/stages-power-meter-in-depth-review.html
  25. Coach or director of coaching? What is the difference anyway?
