  1. Spooks where there are no spooks....
  2. Absolutely no need to answer, unless somebody actually does present with such a response. Has nothing to do with the case in question. Penicillin allergy not relevant to a positive probenecid test.
  3. I'll tell you. At least enough of the amount for the hearing to have concluded that they are satisfied, and at least enough for them to have revoked the ban with immediate effect. At least the amount that will need to stand up to UCI scrutiny if required. Seems enough to me, but I'm just a face value kinda fella.
  4. You lads read far too many comic books and fairy stories when you were little. Sometimes things actually are what they are.
  5. Lots of questioning the science part. Why can't we just accept expert opinion at face value. Both sides seem to have had experts ( real ones) explain the contamination and in turn verify it. The body that imposed the sanction has withdrawn it. So no foul. End of. Sometimes I think we look for spooks when there are no spooks.
  6. Go Tyrone. Well done brother.
  7. I rate Jan highly. I think he's going to be cracker once he settles in, and could be world class with JPs clever rugby outside him. Solid defender and does things instinctively. Would have been happy starting with Goosen at 10. Also chuffed for Lood after a really hardworking season at Cheetahs.
  8. I hear you. Not ideal at all to have disruptions to the team the week before a game. No arguments there, and agree 100 bags that no one is bigger than the team. However I don't know what led up to this, so I can't say he's right and he's wrong. My guess is it's not straight forward. My other guess is making a decision like that to walk after such a long involvement wouldn't be taken without just consideration . Still got to look your mates in the eye. I'd love to know what the rest of the players have to say ( have to wait for someone's book !), cos that's a good barometer.
  9. Nope, can't assume any of that to be fact until it's officially stated as such. How do any of us know what's gone on to get to this? Whether he can nail a drop from 60 or from 6, or if he's your favourite player or your least, still don't know enough to make judgement IMO.
  10. There are going to be 2, or even 3 sides to this story. Until we know all the facts ( if we ever do ), then got to take it at face value. Frans has withdrawn for undisclosed reasons. End of! No point speculating, or making sweeping comments or judgements. Will we miss him on Saturday, and going forward ? For sure we will.
  11. Move to Durban.
  12. Got to stop there. World class. Those freshly cooked, warm, buttered potatoes, and the Chelsea bun slices. Eish.
  13. Hospitality was world class, but the -2 degree starts were bleak. That section along the Wilge River at the start of day 2, with ice on the dirt road was something I've never experienced before. WRT hospitality, the mealie bread on day 1 and 2 was about the best thing I've ever eaten in my life
  14. It was hundreds. Really easy to follow. Didn't affect the riding one bit. Took one wrong fork on day 1 cos wasn't concentrating, and after about 10m the thing shouted at us to turn around. A lot of the time you just following riders in front of you anyway. All good, and IMO the way to go.
  15. Yoh, body not sure what's going on this morning, after 9 days, it's ready to go again. Nice to sleep in my own bed though. What an amazing experience. Huge thumbs up to the race organizers. Just the cold nearly killed us. Durban boys get freezing below 15 degrees, so when it's subzero we got issues! Descent down Mt Paul and climb up Pufadder will live long in my memories!
  16. I need to upgrade my fork. Currently Rockshox 29er QR fork, with Hope Pro 2 Evo hubs. Is it possible to change that to a 15 mm through axle fitting without drama, or is the hub specific to QR?
  17. Check all the crashes they showed after the broadcast? Couple of lads getting pulled out of the ditches. Hectic
  18. Less than 4 weeks to start. Time to fine tune the engines and think about easing back on the 16 hour plus weeks soon. Really looking forward to this one.
  19. DALE!!!! What a legend.
  20. Well done bru. That's a great effort. It's always a good day out, but only ever done 1 at a time before. 8 a bit out of my pay grade I'm afraid. Interesting to see how your distances varied per swim. Got to swim straight.
  21. I need some advice wrt following a saved route on my Garmin 500. I have a number of routes saved as courses on the device, but can't seem to find how to actually follow them. Tells me when the course is found and shouts when I go off the course! but how do I get the crumb line on the screen to follow?
  22. On their sizing grid, I'm just inside medium ( near small). Would you go smaller if you near the borderline?
  23. I'm up for some new compression pants. Old boys stretched and losing effectiveness. I'm looking for a good recovery performance and comfort, more than a bargain. Any suggestions as to brand?
  24. Announced?
  25. If Morne not fit for the next game who we going to pick in his place? I would pick Wayne Parnell.
