Yeah the support everyone gave my wife on the trail was outstanding!! They could see she was suffering with her knee and everyone just had encouraging words for her!

Hey we saw you at the water point yesterday. I also took a tumble doing something stupid and am going for xrays for the rib later today.

Got baclk last night after doing the trail and am feeling very depressed today. Would much rather be sleeping in a tent and walking for breakfast and listening to other people snore and be able to ride again than have to be home in my own bed and also have to work today.

can i please ask you to pm me when the next event is. I would love to give my kid a go at doing it on his strider.

With the amount of time and effort my wife puts into our marriage and our kids i am happy to forfeit some training time.

Just hoping the swelling goes down by the weekend otherwise she wont be able to ride Sani with me.

I had that theory too until this weekend. Riding with the wife at Clarens she took a major fall 200m from the start. If i had gone on my own batch etc i would not have been there to help pick her up out a ditch. Carry her to first aid and then rush her to hospital. I would rather lose some form and ride with her and know she is safe.

Almost brought tears to my eyes. Little guy begged me all morning to come ride with me so i said to him he should finish with me. Definitely didnt expect the reaction we got. Thanks a million for making a little guys day.

He even got given a cup of USN after he crossed the line.

Wife managed to off herself 200m from the start. Adrenalin got the better of her and she was out the gates like a shot. Loose gravel over the ravin got the better of her and needless to say one trip to the Bethlehem hospital and 8 stitches later i never got to do the marathon. Thanks for all the help with people helping me carry two bikes and her. Fritz personally checked on her too while i was fetching the car which shows the calibre of the event. My highlight of the weekend. Finishing the half marathon with my son and everyone at the finish cheering him on.

And i didnt even get to meet you!

I dont think so as my wife and i have been seeded in B. Can only be based on my previous times as there is no way my wife is a B batch rider.

or you could just hang back with myself and the wife!!
