Exactly! The F and H times were both faster than the stars. PPA need to wittle the group down to a more select bunch, then the pace will really go up.

Probably about 300 including the timing chipless. But I also hate big groups, after riding U14 league last year which had about 20 people and then doing the die burger which had much bigger groups I just stayed at the back of the group and payed the price by being dropped when the wind came up. The groups shouldn't exceed more than 50people... my view.

Ya, But I saw at least 8 thinkbike marshals at the start. 1 for u16's (back at start of vets, masters and ladies.) 1 for u14's vets, masters, ladies. Subvets, elites and junior men stars. any more? Unless they gave preference to soup groups then they should have had enough.

It's outrageous not to have a thinkbike marshall with you. Did you at least have a vehicle? U16's had 3 cars and a thinkbike marshall, and it's entirely necessary because of the stunts some of us try to pull, but our bunch is only 25, and yours is 80odd I think? I think a firmer stance has to be taken on white lines. Hope the riders recovers well

Another thread about this, "Cape Cobra accident" i think. When I did the Journey 4 sight, I started with the B bunch, it was hellishly windy and they ended up on the white line and sometimes even halfway in the oncoming lane. Cyclists need to be more careful, I mean, riding in the oncoming lane?! Without any road closure! Of course if there is a crash then it can't be helped if you skid into the other lane...

I think this is because your saddle bolts are not tightened properly and so when you shift backwards it points up. When you are not riding can you tilt the saddle up and down?
