That's the right idea! I've got a set of training wheels with heavy duty tyres. Racing clinchers with light tyres for races like the Argus, Die Burger.. And then Racing tubbies for races where there are backup cars. But your setup sounds a whole lot better

I've heard from pro's that the difference between xtr and xt is minimal and not worth the extra cash. plus the xtr's are more fragile and start problems sooner than than the xt's.
