Myth, I reckon. Look at Andrew Mclean and Yolande Speedy. Neither of them can actually be declared a bean pole. In my inexpert opinion, the big difference is in the ability of the bike to roll and its manoeuvrability. If I had to get a bike now, I'd like to try a 29er HT. I don't like full-sussers personally.

Did that during the Sani Transfrontier race. The winners were just under 2 hours...

If I remember correctly, it's just over an hour and a half up from the hotel and about half an hour down. Just over two hours...

They should give doughnuts to the race stage winners, too...

Does so. Read the post: "in my opinion". Your opinion may differ... I should also say that I am more of a jogger as opposed to a runner...

I'm not a pro/great/whatever runner, but in my opinion there are two aspects: - I reckon cardio vascular effort in cycling is greater than running - impact wise, running is much greater than cycling. So cycling gives more cardio, but less impact. I think most people concentrate on the "difficulty" (impact) of running compared to cycling.

We miss you guys in the tandem bunch... Martin and I can't make it, but we'll be thinking of you and Allistair. BTW, if you think he hurt you, it's nothing on what you did to us!
