I am so glad you posted this.All of us get temted to buy a cheaper noname frame,but you pay for quality control too when you buy a branded frame who will take responsibility when this happens .Now you have to pay R20000, for the frame you realy wanted in the first place .Goedkoop koop is duurkoop.Your skeleton could have looked like this frame

I am riding giant 29' wheels with geax sagugara tubeless 2x2 with no problems.Twice had to inflate with bomb after puncture.No problems .2 bar front 1.8 back.

Both are good bikes .Giant gives a lifelong frame warranty on all their frames .Both have similar gear.Buy the lightist one that you like.i would also take the cheapist tubeless conversion option.Look at merida and momsen al329.Momsen come tubeless converted already.Just bought a giant xtc ,Can,t go wrong with giant momsen gt morewood merida.Good luck

My first disc brakes after v -brake are avid elixer cr.They work fine and the screetch warns the rider in front of me that i am on his tail.Maybe i"m not spoilt yet

Iam 194cm 102kg and i find the same xl bike too small for me .After measuring at myLBS they suggested a xxl santacruz frame with 29 inch tyres .I like my merida but it feels asif i,m going over they handelbars.on downhills. quote for bike was R40000.0 .Any other suggestions for us tall people
