  1. Might be my 1st deal gone bad from the hub. Bought a pair of Easton EA90 Aero wheels from a hubber 1 Feb. Only fitted tires on the wheels 6 Feb. Took them out for the 1st maiden voyage but wheels felt strange almost like a stone is stuck on the tire. I did not hit a pothole or anything like that. When I got home I notice the rim is not true so I send a sms, voice mail and a pm to the buyer informing him of the wheel that is not straight. I asked him if I can send the wheel to Omnico to have it check out and trued and if he would cover the cost. Last time this happen I had to replace a rear rim on 90 SLX which cost me an extra R1600 and can not afford a setback like this again. Until now there is no reply from the hubber but he did access his whatsapp on Sunday. I don't know how many people don't look at their cell phones for a whole weekend. At what time do you name and shame a hubber?
  2. Also said I won't be back due to 2 incidents when cl caught bl at the nice downhill before climbing to the small restaurant on the left hand side. 1 cause by a touch of wheels doing 55kmph 2m to my left and hearing carbon break and the other by oncoming traffic almost 500m after the 1st one. But back again this year. Like the distance. Just keep in the 1st 10 positions and all should be ok. I hope
  3. Online entries closed 4 Feb.
  4. There is no such thing as a flat race (according to me) unless you cheat on your IDT.
  5. Looking for my next race tires for road races. The tires will go onto Easton EA90 SL wheels. Did some research and the Ultremo uses 20 w less than th GP4000S tires at the same speed. I have used the GP4000S but don't want to make a mistake. Thanks
  6. I had a black and grey. I was sad when seatpost broke but nothing wrong with the bike.
  7. @CWC Maybe GP4000S tires?
  8. Nice work. Nice to know I am faster than the avg cyclist.

  10. Had a insurance claim and fot a pair of Easton EA90 SL. I really wanted a carbon set for racing. Is it worth keeping the wheels or should I try to swop it for a used carbon set? I am a big guy 97kg but can do the 94.7 in sub3 so not totally slow. I have a ttaining set so it will only be used for racing. Thanks
  11. Mine is still there as well
  12. I was diagnosed as a child. I am using foxair and Ventolin but still have to use mine during training. As soon as my hr drops below 140 and there is a hill, asthma. Also if you are in a peleton\group and get an attack during a hill its bye bye. The ventolin is an enmergency but bwfore I can breath again gone is the group. Wish I had normal lungs. Going to go to the doc to find a better solution. Foxair is R400 pm so thats R4800 just to be able to breath. Without foxair i get about 7 attacks per day and wake yp in yhe middle of the night franticly searching for my inhaler.
  13. Easton EA90 SL
  14. I got new wheels today and see they are tubeless. Do you run tubeless on your race wheels (road) or run with tubs? If you run tubeless which tires do you use and sealant?
  15. Would train on heavier slower wheels or train on your racing wheels. I have Easton EA70 and EA90 aero wheels. Must I sell the EA70 wheels and go for heavier slower wheel or train on EA70 and keep the EA90 wheels for races or just train using the EA90 Aero wheel.
  16. Tacx comes standard with TTS with some excercises and tests as well and VR wolrds if you have a steerer frame. You can purchase the Advanced TTS and with that you can set opponents who can attack, set wind speed and direction, setup your own excercises and you can save your previous exercise and ride against yourself. Import rides from your GPS data. You also have the option to race online.
  17. <p> Only do 2 session a week. Each session is less than 60 min. DO quality over quantity. May be use the videos when it is raining or during winter months.
  18. I have the I-flow. I think its better than normal trainers assuming you do your FTP test on the trainer and training with power. Tacx calculate the downhill speed that's why it is so high. I have the following software: •Col du Tourmalet 2010 •Training with Cadel Evans •Training with Milram - Switzerland •Training with Rabobank 2010 - Spain •Training with the Schlecks - Luxembourg •Argus •Honister Pass
  19. Where are all the experts? Only 6 replies.

  21. Which Easton EA70 or EA90 Aero will be better for racing? EA70 has ceramic bearings but the EA90 is more Aero. Wheels will be fitted with GP4000 S tires but also open to suggestions. Thanks
  22. Broke a spoke on Easton EA70 rear wheel. Who can replace spokes on Easton EA70 wheel.
  23. I changed my cassette to 12-28 instead of 11-25. one less tooth at the back doesn't make a difference according to me. Leg speed makes up for the 1 less tooth on the casette
  24. Thanks. That was fast
  25. I am looking for a contact number for Adrew - Power2max. Can anybody pm me his contact number? Thanks
