  1. The Va's don't joke around. Got my @ss handed to me on a gold, silver, bronze and paper platter. At least now I know I have a lot of work to do.
  2. Is this a championchip of racetec race?
  3. If you use a indoor training I recommend the trainer tyre as well. Low noise and high milage compare to standard road tyres (my road tyres started to melt on the rollers after 50km). My current tyres has done +1000km on the rollers and you can hardly see the wear
  4. Got mine as well. 1st VA race for me
  5. Hi Has anybody received their seeding for the race yet?
  6. I used to get them as well. I drink 1 Rehydrate before the event, make sure I take enough liquid during the race and after another 1 or 2 Hydrate depends on the race and temp.

This will be my 1st one. Hoping that it won't be to cruel to the legs.
  8. This will be my first but according to the website it should be a relative flat and fast race
  9. Hi Does anybody have the route map\garmin files for this race?
  10. Rather shoot the guy in the knee so he won't be able to cycle and will always be a constant remeber on "how not to behave".
  11. If you can, add another R2g and you can buy Eastons EA70 wheelset (new). You can also look in the classifieds for a pair of Mavic Ksyriums Elite for about R2500. Wheels will be a personal choice but any upgrade from the standard wheels will make a huge diffrence.
  12. What about the ladies?
  13. Thanks, I will go with the 500.
  14. Is worth paying the extra R1200 just for a cycling computer?
  15. Hi hubbers Need quick advice which one to buy the Edge 800 of Forerunner 310XT or should I go for the Edge 500? My previous unit was the Forerunner 305 so looking for a unit that can give me the same data or more interms of cycling. There is R1200 dif between the 2 and thats why I can't decide. It will only be used for cycling but I need a new unit that can give me power readings. I need to have the unit on Monday.
  16. It is not worth going carbon if you are a newcomer, unless you have the money. I rode my alu bike for 3 years (did the 94.7 in 3:02:00 on a stock standard Raleigh RC1000) before upgrading. If you feel like you want to upgrade rather spend the money on wheels, its the best upgrade money can buy. Some hubber said for every 100 grams save on ratation weight (wheels) you need take 500 grams of your framebike (excluding wheels). My 2 cents worth
  17. I use Whasp Amino Carb pro and I top it up with Vitargo blast. Don't use gels for training or racing.
  18. 1 room for now, myself and maybe my current wife.
  19. 1 room for now, myself and may e my current wife.
  20. Hi hubbers I am looking for accomodation for race for victory race on 16 September. If you can please provide name or website and something that won't break the bank. Thanks
  21. I bought Easton EA70 wheels, Spez SL carbon handlebars and a training bike so the racing bike doesn't get all the milage on.
  22. Sorry, ceramic
  23. Is it worth replacing your bb with a certamic bb?
  24. I would suggest get a towbar mounted bike rack. If you have a carbon bike then yes use a ride on otherwise go for the cheaper one that mounts the bike on the top tube. my 2cents. I have the Thule Ride on 2 and I am happy with it.
  25. I got Easton EA70 wheels and Spez carbon handlebars (230g). Can't wait to go for a test drive.
