  1. I did the Rainbow 21km this past Saturday and at 17km my knee refused to bend so had to walk the last 4km to the finish line and ended with a 2:16. I was able to cycle on Sunday and Monday but tried to run again and at 700m started to pain again. Ni swelling or redness nothing. Just pain behind the patella and unable to bend the knee. I am also able to feel a catching or clicking in the knee today.
  2. Here goesApr 36km May 31km Jun 51km Jul 73km Aug 82km Sep 113km For the week leading up to 32km (1st Oct) attempt I only did 8km. Interesting is that both my brooks Ghost shoes at around 250km of use my knees started to hurt. I have a high arch maybe just replace the insole with high arch ones?
  3. On my morning run my left knee started to pain just after 7km and at 9km I had to call it. The pain was just below the patella on the left. If I walk for 100m I could run for 300m and then have to wak again. I took it really easy week with only 9km. Was planning a 32km with the club. My runs on the weekend is between 15-24km. Any suggestion?
  4. I did a 24 km run last weekend 2hours and 50 min with the club. The pace was a bit higher than I expected (6.10 to 6.20) and struggled the last 3km. I normally run between 18km to 21km on the weekend with 21km at 2 hours 23min. I entered for the kaapsehoop 42km thinking if I qualify its a bonus if I don't I gain experience. Planning a pace of 6.45pkm

  7. Whate millage should you in a week to run a matathon? Thinking of upgrading my kaapsehoop from 21 to 42km. Trying my luck to qualify early for the comrades.
  8. Looking for a running program for a marathon to help the wife. Can anybody recommend running coaches?

    Give it a TRI

You can be surprised how much a 40km tt ride can hurt with an incorrect setup. Take at least a couple of shorter training ride to dail the setup in.

  12. My current shoe is Brooks Ghost 6 and a neutral shoe. I was given a new pair of insole last week and took them for a run this week. Left knee felt good only the right one and after 900m. Normally I would do 5km run 3 times a week and 1 of them would follow a 50km bike ride.
  13. I am going to langebaan and need a pediatrist (mind the spelling) who can analize my running and recommend the correct shoes and modify my sole of needed. My local pediatrist did a eye analysis and made it worst. After 900m I can feel my right knee. My knees start to hurt around 4km.
