  1. Willie, if its a stunt/street/park bike he wants... the look at this forum/site .. http://bmxdirect.net/ and speak to Brad@TheRiot on this site.. Be warned that these bikes can be heavy for a 12 yr old to throw around.. The brands mentioned by others here are all good. The GT/Mongoose/Redline brands are more racing Bmx brands although Mongoose do make many a street bike at the lower price points.. Do some research, it can get verrrrrrrry expensive!
  2. Speaking under correction here, but any stripped thread/bolthole can be rethreaded with a slightly bigger thread.. and then a slightly bigger bolt can be used to secure the part... Most decent car workshops/engineering places will do it for you... just get the next size bolt and take it with... Or get a thread cutter and do it yourself. Have had done it numerous times on our motorbikes in the past, quick and easy..
  3. And very quicly we find common ground. Agree 100% with above..
  4. TNT, of course not.. I might be in the minority here, but I will wait behind the 5 abreast groups without trying to drive them into the gutter, but the bad language born of frustration should not suprise them... Other motorists, it appears are not that interested in waiting and then swearing... and thats where Porky's post comes in.... Why ride 5 abreast and piss of all and sundry when there is an alternative? Is it because they can....? KDEE2009-02-16 04:50:16
  5. Agree 100% with Porky... No one, but no one cant tell me that you simply HAVE to ride 5 abreast.. 2 abreast I can handle, also like to chat when Im riding...
  6. Mark, those black board trails are 'interesting' to say the least.. I battled big time with some of the hills. But then I am fat and unfit..
  7. KDEE

    air shocks

What Legend says.. Your shock pump is not connecting properly.. screw that bad boy onto the valve..
  8. And the post above once again explains why Intern is a respected member of the community here and cycling in general. Appears to be fairly succesful in business as well Nice post Intern.
  9. Ha ha, hey dfm1 this recession thing affects everyone (especially race organisers???). And now I'm going to get all huffy and sanctimonious and claim its the principle of the thing, man. When all I want is my box of smarties, actually. DFM1, you have completely lost the point. If Intern isnt going to get his prizes, how in hell am I going to buy a better looking helmet from him that he wins than the awfully gay looking lid that I nearly collected from him???
  10. Ja, and staying awake on the train was even harder. I don't know how many times i would have to catch a train back from Randfontein station because i missed my stop. at Velo... brought back memories of falling asleep, going past Horizon station and walking back from Randfontein at 4 in the morning because the next train back was not for ages... I wouldnt even catch the train nowadays...
  11. Why would the faster rider even remotely consider listening to the slower tandem rider........
  12. Why not phone Geoff on 084 895 0748 and find out for sure..
  13. Thanks for that Jules
  14. Battling with both of your comments.. It appears strongly that the very first post he made was a pack of lies, yet you now congratulate him on being a man amongst men.. I dont see an apology for the crap that he wrote first up.. Am I way of target/missing something here..?

  17. Might be for the pocket motorcycles that they race....
  18. After some some 16 years of riding spds.... I fell again to day.. while turning around and couldnt unclip.. get used to it it will happen when you least expect it..
  19. If I could think of a more appropriate word than Anal, I might have used it for this Mr Waugh.. Clearly he has a huge problem with actually speaking to people face to face when complaining, but no trouble with a keyboard.. Hello Peter is a monstrous rip off.. We had to pay a ridiculous amount in order to respond to a malicious complaint... We vowed never again, no matter what the complaint was... Pure blackmail is Hello Peter.. Try complaining on the site about the fact that companies have to pay to respond..... and see how long the post lasts...
  20. Thanks for that, although I was talking about the original problem of the tire not seating properly because of the rim strip.... Your answer here raises another thing, Im pedantic like that as well and have been mulling over the same thing. Although 20 inch Presta tubes are easy to get, removable core ones are not... So cutting the lip very close poses a problem for topping up the slime/goo/etc... New tube everytime.... Not that much of issue I suppose..
