To the posts suggesting sellers don't respond, here's something that I've just noticed. I have an ad which shows a lead, yet I haven't received any contact (PM, email, etc). So while probably the exception, it does suggest that comms can get lost in cyberspace.

I've crossed that bridge a couple of times too.

The last time I mentioned poor comms, apparently I was being too impatient in difficult times. LOL

Wow - socks are a common extra, not a TT helmet. I may just order something in the hope of getting Pina or Willier frame extra. LOL

Perhaps I wasn't clear - my contact with stores/distributors has nothing to do with pending orders or deliveries. I've either made product enquiries or otherwise requested confirmation of stock availability and prices, and/or best methods to secure if not operating online. Granted, these are difficult times requiring patience from all, but surely a response to that keen be arranged somewhere over a period of a month.?

That's what I've been saying for the last couple of weeks... and that's just to get a response from various stores on queries. Seems many of our stores/online stores are just not keen on business.

Bell rings and as soon as the door is opened, parcel is put down ... by the time I get to the gate, the delivery vehicle is driving off.

All businesses are only as good as there client interface. Good people go a long way to ensuring a pleasant experience. But even good people can have off days. So accept the good with the bad.

Hard to believe that the bibs are ok but chamois are shot, but I suppose not impossible... they are Assos after all. You could try any/all of the local manufacturers. (some are more likely to help than others) Howzit Sports used to be really helpful with this sort of thing, but I don't think they are around anymore. Getting dressed in the dark for an early morning start. That said, mixed socks were fashionable for a while and sold as such ... not sure if it's still a thing. I in fact have some which I've not used ... a pair of Assos nogal.

Don't underestimate the value of a good shorts in achieving saddle comfort.

I'm at that stage where comfort and ease of use are far more important than weight. I was sceptical about Di2, but as somebody else said, can't see myself using anything else. [except for Etap perhaps ]
