  1. There was the incident when the Jafmed DC group got jumped targeting the last riders in a paceline, but yeah, more than likely the exception. Now to find the balance between groups and social distancing.
  2. Seems MTBers could get lucky, but not many deals on top end road shoes. I suspect that most stock has cleared already.
  3. And all the more now with social distancing and the likelihood of solo riding.
  4. New.? That is a bargain.!
  5. Appears the sooner they rebrand fully the better...
  6. ...or that they are like new, just lightly used. LOL
  7. I was thrown the first time I opened one of those... since when does bike lube smell like bananas. LOL:)
  8. Lockdown taking it's toll on everybody it seems.! LOL
  9. Two problems I foresee: - even Chuck may find it difficult to do what he does in cabon soled, cleat fitted cycling shoes - most attacks rely on the element of surprise, and hitting the deck winds most or even breaks a bone or two before you can respond That said, you thought has my full support in theory.
  10. Dumoulin said the same.
  11. LOL ... you do that at home. Or you pull a Dumoulin.
  12. Bibs for sure.! Which exactly is personal preference, and budget dependent. Anatomic has a sale currently so could possibly still pick up a good deal there. (been running for a while so stock may be an issue)
  13. Cycling really should be a winter sport in the Cape. (as long as it's not raining)
  14. Biggest surprise is that we haven't been placed back in level 5 lockdown yet. I drove in to office yesterday and observed pedestrians/commuters during my 15 min drive. At best we have 50% of people masked of which half are probably wearing it properly. Saw some pics of various popular cycling spots from earlier this morning, with a similar number of masks being worn, if not less.
  15. Have you tried the guys at Coolheat.? While no longer the distributor, they would have dealt with many of this model of trainer and may just be able/prepared to assist/advise particularly with regards software (OP). As for rebate scenario, I guess unfortunately at the mercy of Garmin. While the offers are generally acceptable on older Garmin units, I'm not too convinced it will be the same with Tacx.
  16. Skynet was terrible to start. 3 weeks to a month if you were lucky. Improved to 7-14 days prior to Covid. No idea what to expect now.
  17. +1 for minimalist saddle and good bibs. If your current saddle treated you well, why not get another or something as similar as possible.
  18. Their work comes highly rated. Also, they're unlikely to repair something that shouldn't be repaired.
  19. Looks like it's mainly ASG brands.
  20. Probably the main reason I haven't ventured out yet. Having ended up at emergency twice before, it's the last place I want to be right now. Hope alls ok.
  21. To the posts suggesting sellers don't respond, here's something that I've just noticed. I have an ad which shows a lead, yet I haven't received any contact (PM, email, etc). So while probably the exception, it does suggest that comms can get lost in cyberspace.
  22. I've crossed that bridge a couple of times too.
  23. The last time I mentioned poor comms, apparently I was being too impatient in difficult times. LOL
