    Never thought I'd say this, but bring back the Good Hope Centre. LOL We were all excited when we first heard about the move from there, but this hasn't delivered on expectation. Traffic getting there @ 5pm this eve killed my spirit, and unfortunately the expo had little to resurrect it. The congested, market style setup of the stands just isn't very pleasant imo. On a positive note, wind seems to be settling down.

    Get up on Sun morning and look out the window or go outside. Any forecast before then likely to unreliable, and even doing that you could still get it wrong. LOL This is Cape Town after all.

    The wind around the peninsula gets bounced off and channeled between the mountain faces and is never really only felt in one direction. Although somehow when on the bike, I always seem to feel it in a face. lol

    I miss the days of prepaid easy entry booklets where you could decide on the morning to ride or not. Unfortunately stopped because of a few opportunists. Surely technology could allow for a reintroduction of sorts.?

    Could it be additional traffic on the old pass because of the tunnel closure.?

    Uncharacteristically windy for Feb, and bad enough for a few amendments to route. LOL Hopefully all blown out come 10 Mar.

    Technically rideable, but I don't think many go up there anymore. Pity, cause it is quite a nice ride.

    Exactly this. One was a breeze, the other really got to me. LOL

    So I eventually got around to using the little tyre jack tool, and yes, it certainly helps with getting the tyre on the rim, solving one frustration. Now to find some tools (that work) to help get those stubborn tyres seated.

    "Tubeless should seal without any sealant". I assume you are referring to initial setup rather than puncture.? I haven't been fortunate enough to use Fusion 5 (yet), but had good experiences with 3. Don't know If there's much to choose between Hutchinson and Schwalbe.

    Great point, but I dare say lost on many. Rules/road closures are generally clearly stated, yet when we cross the start line, consensus appears to be "the road is ours".

    Economics definitely seems to playing a big role, and was even evident over the festive season too with the Cape seemingly a lot quieter than normal. I think justifying a cycle weekend in Cape Town is becoming more and more difficult and that's before considering day zero and other influences.

    Just wish some of these would work as well for road tubeless.

    Haven't used mine yet, but hoping it works as advertised.

    Been trying to get the illusive Orange Seal too. Seems only available out of the US but expensive to ship if you're not buying much else.

    Any experience with Revo.? Still looking for " most suitable sealant" for road tubeless.
