    A poll will likely reflect very near equal support for the two brands. That said, I try and steer clear of wheels using proprietary parts. It may be different nowadays that the normal world has become a smaller place. The current new normal may however mean similar headaches.

    Wow.!! Saw that ad and also thought quite nice ... not that I'm in the market for anything like it. This thread does however cast a long dark shadow. Working via a credible bike store may limit your risk, but be cautious nonetheless.

    Alternative to saddle bag, similar to the Spez Swat Box: https://community.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/lyne-components-launches-the-holy-rail-on-bike-storage-system-r7654 There are a lot more options for tubeless nowadays, with more also geared at longevity rather than short life race tyres. Not so long ago it was pretty much limited to Scwalbe and Hutchinson. (both still really good)

    Not always that easy ... small store and stocked to the rafters. You sometimes have to wait for others to exit before you can get in.

    Lots of these brick and mortar vs online discussions at the moment. Many stores have obviously heard about the power of the internet, but haven't done much to harness it to their benefit.

    Can't argue with that. Little "must have" products in my opinion. But the lure of "a special" is sometimes hard to ignore. (but be willing to accept the associated consequences LOL) And some product loyal people will find it hard to change ... Sidi wearers come to mind.

    I found it interesting that Takealot had many of ASGs brands marked down by up to 70% over the weekend. One or two had me interested ... I contacted ASG about something else not listed on Takealot which I wanted additionally. I wanted to consolidate the order and asked if they'd include the "Takealot" items at the reduced prices.? NO WE CAN'T MATCH TAKEALOT.

    The stock issue is unacceptable in my opinion ... that's the sort of thing one expects from physical stores which happen to have a webpage too. Eg. (admittedly I don't pay a great deal of attention to their promos)

    The only number I can relate to is Calories. Unfortunately I'm consuming rather than burning. LOL

    Online comms have generally been poor ... even when wanting to give the online stores my hard earned cash. Times like these that I miss the personal interaction with a LBS.

    Was sceptical initially but really enjoying electronic. Is it worlds apart from mechanical.? Probably not, but well worth trying if one gets the opportunity on the most recent iterations.

    Last 2 replacements for that same reason. In both cases I didn't immediately notice any issues with the helmet, didn't even realise it had any impact. Subsequent headaches suggested check, and there it was, cracked in various places. Hopefully my next replacement will be out of choice or end of lifespan.

    Been trying to convince myself that the medium will fit, but I know that's optimistic.! LOL #lockdown size adjustments

    This. And occasionally a more detailed clean when the chain is off. Give the chain a wipe after applied lube has settled to remove excess which generally causes the build up.
