  3. I'm still struggling with my protein intake. Protein foods for today included: 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast, at lunch I had 100g of tuna, and for supper 230g of hake. In between I had a protein shake with full cream milk too. Yet myfitness says I only have 105g out of the desired 144g of protein. I don't really have an appetite to eat more so I don't know what I am going to do about my protein. Currently I got Evox 100 percent protein, but is very expensive. Any other ideas?
  4. what is your motivation for doing LCHF in the first place? BTW, I have heard some said that it takes up to 6 months to be able to train properly on LCHF. In the meantime I guess you have to train and race at a slower, fat-burning pace
  5. Have any of you seen a LCHF recipe for Jalapeno poppers?
  6. Htone, did you mention in the Thread of all Threads that not meeting your protein requirements had an effect on your heart rate?
  7. Some bad rep on our diet: Edit: http://chealth.canoe.ca/channel_health_features_details.asp?health_feature_id=159&article_id=494&channel_id=159&relation_id=2345
  8. Where do you guys buy fresh berries (raspberries and blueberries)?
  9. So my wife decided to try Dr. Cohen's diet. You know, the really expensive one with the blood tests. Going through her material I noticed that even though they cut the carbs, they cut her fat too. I know after they reached their goal weight they start 're-feeding' where other food types are reintroduced. I bet (hope) then they will start by re-introducing fat. They've got some really nice recipes consisting of protein and veggies/fruit. Most of it is based on crackers or provitas though Anyways, will be interesting to see how she progresses.
  10. Just got some frozen mixed berries from PnP (blueberries, raspberries and gojiberries) just cause they looked so nice and I've never experimented with them before. Have any of you done something interesting with berries? I'm thinking berries with cream for dessert. And of course in yogurt in the morning. Any other ideas?
  11. nice! One question though, do you have enough energy since you are replacing carbs with protein and not fat? Protein isn't a good source of energy
  12. It will be messy at first, but it will be better for future searches if it was posted here too.
  13. hows about you put the doc somewhere we can all get it (like Google Drive or Dropbox), and then each contributor can go in and copy-paste his posts here that they think are post-worthy? Should be quick if each person skims through his own posts and just re-post the important ones?
  14. I think we had the biggest amount of LCHF info available on any South African site, and I guess it got lots of traffic from Google too
  15. Today while looking what PnP has to offer for my dogs, I noticed dog treats advertised as 'low-fat', and found it quite funny because my mind immediately equates low-fat to unhealthy. And dogs need fat in their diet even more than us humans!
  16. I see according to the statement by admin, everything since 15 Jan is gone. That includes the LCHF thread with its plethora of information
  17. Have we lost the LCHF thread? My bookmark isn't working anymore and can't find it in a search
  18. I just got Strava after about it here. For those who may be interested, it looks as though I can run both Strava and Endomondo simultaneously on my Samsung Note 2
  19. Baie goeie idee. Enige indikasie van hoeveel mense op die oomblik gaan ry Saterdag?
  20. Motorists are jealous of our Lycra, and their wives' constant stare at it!
  21. I am a big Endomondo fan. Just glanced over the site quickly, but will look in depth later to see if I miss any old features. From what I could see from my brief visit to the site, I prefer the old layout. As someone who bought the Pro app I feel they could have made a the Premium subscription a bit cheaper than R180 p/a
  22. I like the idea of having an app that pinpoints my location and speed WHILE training so my wife can keep track with the same app on her phone. Not sure that it fits in with what you are doing though
  23. I find my S2 to be extremely accurate (route, not altitude). But maybe I'm just so slow my phone can't make mistakes
  24. I see what you mean. But these guys (CRC) thought of a business model that works very well. Being angry at them for doing good business... it just doesn't compute.
  25. I don't get it. CRC is a business, not a club
