Works for me everytime, sometimes it is just a spot where the joe's isn't reaching specially on the bead ..... Once identified you can easily pump the tyre hard and direct the joe's to that spot. I did once though have an issue that the valve was busy 'tearing' out of the rim strip and had to replace it .... went ghetto after that!

I am reliably informed that the headset spacers will go once the setup is sorted and also that further bling is arriving to go with the spacer/skewer colour ......... I would give my left nut ...... oh wait it's already ......... damn!

I assume many of these heavily 'sloped' (towards the front unlike the modern sloped backwards bikes of today!) bikes started life as TT or track bikes?

A pic would really really help I think .....

Put the wheel in the pool and see exactly where it's leaking from and then solve that problem!

Very nice build by Boris and Borat at Summit Cycles - just think a white stem would make it even better! Don't know about those headset spacers .....

I drilled the heads off the bolts, took off the cleats and then removed the remaining bits with a vice grip ....... Takes a little while but works!

You can also try cleaning the rotor braking surface with an alcohol pad like they use for cleaning glasses. I have had success with those. Sometimes fingermarks and the like on the rotors can cause that .......

BnG, did I miss it or did you not mention that 'ring' that you mostly have to knock off the old fork - the one where the bottom bearing 'rolls' on? On that note now and then second hand forks come with them on, are they like universal or must you have the one that comes with your headset ........

Just wondering how many of you that have changed from one type of MTB frame material to another (comparing apples with apples i.e. HT to HT etc.) can honestly say you felt a difference in the ride? If you did can you easily describe the difference?
