I have to go to the doc for a checkup this afternoon to check everything is still 'working' after my recent op and it doesn't make sense to come back to work after (I'll be home 'only' by about 15:00!). I can watch!

Soooooooooooooo, he says ................................ don't try to push out the steerer and other such 'smart' options! His advice is to replace the upper 'section' i.e. stanchions, crown and steerer at about 1500 ZA rond and be sure that you will have no problems in the future. Will discuss this option with my LBS but may still have a look at that BBB steerer extension thing and give it a go!

Buff - Uuuuuuhhhhhhhmmmmmm, got me there! Dunno, pity though since I only probably need to extend by say 10-15mm, meaning that the stem would still be clamping the 'bottom' bit of the existing steerer tube?

Guess I will have to remove the current 'star fangled nut thingy' so that it can fit in far enough!

OK so great excitement at home as the nipper gets the new RockShox Reba Team on his fancy C/fibre hardtail and I get the Fox F100X with terralogic to use on ................................................ oooooops so the steerer tube sticks up just about 1cm above the headset of the Epic ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhh nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone know what options are available? I am thinking that a mere 1cm above the headset is too little to be safe?
