  8. Just thinking, if as most on the hub seem to think 'they are all on the evening primrose oil etc.' then if LA beat em all he was still better? And at the rate the're coming out it seems they were all! But ja whateva!
  9. Thanks BigH, will also clean with Isopropyl Alcohol from now on after each bike wash! Anything to keep that noise away!
  10. OK so here's what I done so far :- On my HT (Magura Julies), just cleaned the rotors with isopropyl alcohol. Noise 90% gone! Like riding a new bike and haven't yet, baked, burnt or anything the pads (they are still pretty good). On my FS (Juicy 7's), new pads (the old were pretty near to shot) and cleaned the rotors with isopropyl alcohol. Squeeling gone, now just that that Avid sound like a turkey but nowhere near as irritating as the noise before! Lots happier, my wife has threatened me with all sorts if I even think of baking any kind of foreign objects in our new fancy digitally controlled convection oven! Will need to ask a friendly hubber if it comes to that!
  11. Rode it last year and also got caught out at the fence (only once!). DR - sorry to hear you had to be stitched! Didn't go this year (chicken?) cause we had 'DIY' issues to resolve at home, apparently when the dishwasher is leaking, the bathroom light has been blown for a week, one curtain rail is 'half' falling down and the second bathroom tap is 'dripping' it's time to do something about. Call a plumber was apparently the wrong response to the complaint! BTW Wilmy - managed to GPS plot that cell tower route on Google then downloaded to the GPS, all went well till about 1-2 k's from the tower, fences and gates everywhere so no riding up towards it. Lekker ride anyway, much more 'entertaining' than the blockhouse! Thanks
  12. What no comments re setup/position/bike parts? You hubbers dissapoint me!
  13. Last time I saw you you were so far from the actual course you couldn't help anyway (and I heard it wasn't safe to go to where you were!). Stomach back to normal ?
  14. Have been riding an Epic since last December, enjoying it! Hope you have many happy, safe miles on it (have you got it yet?) You can never be too specialized (you should eventually have 3 or more

  19. Perhaps you're the only one with a 'Topeak 140 Cyclo Computer'?
  20. Just 'confiscated' a few isopropyl alcohol wipes from one of the ladies that works for me! She says she uses them to clean her glasses, like can that be more important than me cleaning my rotors with them tonight? Nah, didn't think so! Thanks for the ideas guys, think I'm first gonna tighten, check alignment etc. then clean the rotors and give the pads all a lekker 'roughing' up. Only the ones that are moaning of course! Don't wanna disturb those quiet ones in the front!
  21. Where does one buy 'isopropyl' alcohol? Not from DR's NBS I guess!
  22. In the Julies they are Magura but the Juicy's have BBB
