  1. will anyone be riding with a GoPro or other action camera? it this still allowed at the Sani? nowadays it seems more and more races are banning them
  2. I like the chesty view but find that I've got to make it too tight to get the recording smooth. It's ok for a short ride but I'll avoide the marathon rides... The handle bar mount is ok but I too find the movement slightly problematic. On longer rides the question is where do you mount it so that the lens stay clean
  3. Please let us know the results of this...
  4. So the rule is for the person comming down to give way? And here I thought a good game of chicken is the way to go! :-P
  5. thx for the description, I know where that is.
  6. where at NF did you fall? It sounds like a proper crash! ouch
  7. Karma you are putting yourself out there for next year's IM! great stuff man, I like it! but now there is no turning back
  8. I am also very against kids using sups. it's a very bad idea IMHO
  9. With the sani, keep in mind that if you make day 1 more difficult day 2 automatically becomes tougher due to your legs beeing weaker on day 2. Therefore, is the overall event really easier or did they just move the tough bits around to accomodate the shorter days?
  10. I get the same performance (powerless) issues when I am overtrained. Sufficient base training is the answer! Get sporttracks and load the training load plug-in. Great way to track your stress factor!
  11. solo is the way to go! you can ride with your fellow solo riders, but most importantly, ride as much as you want/can
  12. I have to agree, lots of rude and irresponsible riders…! At one stage I was thinking we should establish a MTB etiquette test (similar to play more golf’s one but only for MTB) which one must pass before he/she can enter their first event.
  13. I saw the "renovations" sign up at teak place months ago, it seems no renovations are done though...
  14. there is nothing wrong with a good game of Chicken!
  15. just on your GPS being more accurate than your speed sensor - you should look at double checking your wheel size. the speed sensor should be more accurate when it has been set up correctly. With regards to the HR issue. Have you checked the battery? My HR used to do big jumps like that as well due to an old battery that needed replacement. The replacement sorted this out. I suggest you take your items in to polar. I had an issue with my HR unit, I took it in, they tested it right there and then and replaced it free of charge due to a fault on the unit.
  16. Haha, I am hoping this stuff will actually reduce the bottle necks so that we have less to complain about on the hub :-)
  17. Have anyone tried this product? I am thinking about trying this at the 24 hour race this weekend. Any feedback on this product is much appreciated
  18. It should be an awesome ride!
  19. It has to be said that said bottle necks are sometimes caused by the race organisers. Letting a 70 km and a 20km event share the same single track for the last few kilometers of the race is never a good idea in my books. i am sure no one likes riding the #*&$ out of their bike bike, really pushing for a good time, only to get stuck behind people that cannot ride over a 5c coin 5km from the finish. that being said, yes we all had to start at some point. one would just think that race organisers would plan some of these events better (and no I am not saying this is what whent wrong at the USN race though lost of people where complaining about bottle necks)
  20. I’ll start a new forum topic on sporttracks as I have some questions but don’t want to derail the Sani2c topic…
  21. Here is a link to the 2010 profile http://mtbstory.com/2010/03/route-profile-2010-sani2c/

  23. i use rock n roll extreme. its the best of both worlds. Its a wax and wet lube in one. awesome stuff
  24. Hi guys, So I have a very cheap (air) indoor trainer and it is cr@p! Way too noisy and no resistance. I am thinking about getting a better one but to not want to spend more only to have another white elephant in the house. Anyone know where a place where i can try before i buy? i need resistance and less noise... ps- sorry if this was covered in previous posts, i did a quick search and couldn't find this info
  25. we stick to the top side of the spruit, safety seems better there
