  1. it's basically all downhill Ok seriously, the profile is very flat IMO. A lot of people talk about the one hill, but there was no hill in sight
  2. I have some of those But make no mistake, they climb well Ek het dalk din bene, maar vir my loop hulle lekker!
  3. If you want to make the ride tougher, take the single track back
  4. make sure you don't miss it, CM is AWESOME!
  5. that bit right there can instigate a frenzy resulting in another 20 pages full of comments (and we are running out of all-time classic movie names with which to hijack the thread )
  6. stirring are we? hahaha
  7. How do these compare with Easton AE 90 XC? Yes they weigh less but which is the strongest?
  8. Thx TheV, I'll go check it out

  11. from hairy legs to someone's passion in his pants! off topic is an understatement here. Someone change to topic to "whatever floats your boat"
  12. lack of skill or just bad judgement? I don't think we can always blame the bike
  13. I think the photo actually shows us why so many people hate the epic We have MTBers with mad skills but they cant afford to enter the epic, while we have noobs (to some extent) with the money to enter but they lack the skill to actually ride... no offence guys, just saying
  14. Haters gonna hate And I guess that is for both the 26er and 29er camps

  16. think I should contact Mamparra David for a set of stronger legs for those damn climbs
  17. If there is a email or cell number on the add, go and subscribe it on some of the spam sites
  18. guess I am poor
  19. BTW I got my stroke count down without attending a Ti class or buying any of their media. I just googled it and read as much as possible and the clips on youytube helped a lot as well. I now bought the book and dvd though
  20. Ok free tips: TI is all about swimming in a stretched out position (front quadrant swimming). It’s all about minimizing drag. I literally halved my stroke count on a 25m lap whilst keeping my pace the same, within one week of TI. This means I am going at the same speed but at a much lower HR. This helps to save energy for the cycle and run in a Tri event
  21. Nothing wrong with XT, I'd look at new wheels
