  1. RULE 1 for me, when washing. Do not touch brakes, rotors or calipers.. never know if some oil particle in the water accidentally ends up meeting a rotor or pad.
  2. wanted to insert "Scott + 29er chirp here".. but they say a picture tells a thousand words and this is 5 pictures
  3. Dis nou die hele storie. Volgende keer moet daai ou dit maar met seekoeie gaan try, hoor hulle is baie rustig.....
  4. Just start digging, government cant even pursue criminal or stop strikes on national highways.... That is if they are reachable at office for any complaints that may arise. So i say go for it build it anonymously
  5. Thanks, now I know why I keep falling, will run down the shop tomorrow for some clips, knew I was doing something wrong. Seems clipped in guys have it so much easier, lol
  6. Couldn't agree more... I just wish I could get a 24" trail bike! And for single crown, you cant get tougher than Redbull Rampage, and these guys were dropping into unimaginable stuff with these "trail bikes"... And I think pictures just makes threads better! http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb8748700/p5pb8748700.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb8748682/p5pb8748682.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb8748734/p5pb8748734.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb8748661/p5pb8748661.jpg

  8. Looking to build up a trial bike, so if anyone has or knows someone looking to get rid of a Trials frame or bike. Give me shout. Looking for something 26" or 24" and with seatpost, want to make a light street trials type bike.
  9. Die nuwe Carbocage goed lyk flippen hot: http://enduro-mtb.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/carbocage-2014-eurobike.jpg
  10. I also ride most DH courses with my enduro bike... but nowhere near the speed these guys flying down.
  11. just waiting for my finances to push up again... then waiting for the cheap obsolete 26'er DH bike to lie around:)
  12. Now less than 24 hours from the time that the 2014 World Champions will be crowned, Elite seeding results are in and they tell a very interesting story. Steve Smith and Rachel Atherton are on top, with a 2.208 and 16.802 second gap over 2nd place finishers Mitch Ropelato and Tracey Hannah, respectively. Overnight rain slowed things down a little bit since the Juniors ran the course. What's wild about the results? Stevie Smith is on top riding his custom 650B Devinci with 165mm of travel and a lowered BoXXer up front. Check out how Mitch Ropelato and Jared Graves faired, slotting in at 2nd and 7th place. Also ON ENDURO BIKES. Check out Mitch's Specialized Enduro 29 here and Graves's Yeti SB66c here. Only a handful of riders were able to come close to their times on the 2nd split. Needless to say, finals are going to be wild! Aaron Gwin will be the first rider to drop in tomorrow, coming in last during seeding. http://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/WORLD-CHAMPS-RESULTS-Stevie-Smith-and-Rachel-Atherton-Win-Elite-Downhill-Seeding-Enduro-Bikes-on-Top,642?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=spotlight
  13. Anyone know where there will be a live stream online?
  14. Kill it before it gets babies!!!
  15. Funny enough, I feel the opposite. The sport is very accessible. WHen I started riding 13 years back I paid the same for items that I am paying now.... eg. 2002 Tioga handlebar - R350 Tioga stem - R400 and could go on with a few other things. 2013 Nukeproof handlebar: R227 - CRC Hussefelt stem: R350 - CRC My point is if you dont splash out on expensive parts, it is a very reasonably priced sport
  16. Wonder if this is going to end up being only nice to look at, but not for our shores (like the BOS) But still, looks nice: DVO Diamond Enduro Fork http://lp1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10024229/p4pb10024229.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10024227/p4pb10024227.jpg White Brothers Fork http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb9466788/p4pb9466788.jpg http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb9467475/p4pb9467475.jpg http://brimages.bikeboardmedia.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/IMG_1005-600x400.jpg
  17. Size will suit you, Im 1.82m and ride a small as my enduro bike, easy to chuck around. But do you want a jump type play bike or an all day play bike, which you can ride all day long? The SX is a very Park/slopetyle orientated bike, thus not the lightest or pedal efficient for day trips.
  18. If you get technical like this over a "play bike", do not buy it, stick with serious bikes. Bikes like these are best bought as small as possible.. to facilitate the "playing" without hitting your crotch.
  19. Depends on your budget, but there are some sweet custom builds on theHub and gumtree. The normal cheapies (GT and mongoose) wil do... but what you really want is one of these;) The ones which are awesome: http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-wellington/blk-mrkt-riot-dirt-jump-bike-516042083 http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-melkbosstrand/for-sale-kona-shonky-513799325 http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-tokai/custom-jump-bike-511653365 http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-rondebosch/ns-traffic-dirt-jump-bike-510983255 The other ones: http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-cape-winelands/gt-tempest-1-0-511462479 http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-sports-bicycles-fitness-in-cape-winelands/gt-chucker-3-0-jump-bike-503737036
  20. Exactly why I like Nicolai, haha Had a gearbox in My GT-IT1, was awesome, but yes heavy. This one however looks like it can be the one.. and gearboxes can give a few times more miles than derailleurs when well looked after.
  21. Ek seker agter die tyd, aangesien die video al 77,984,884 vieews het. Maar vandag eerste keer gehoor. Is nogal vir my awesome song:
  22. If I could do that, Ill just put heaps of dirt in my background and backflip the whole day... I only ride trail/enduro because Im crap at DJ and then usually spend more time recovering than riding, haha ....Ohh, and not forgetting the best part of enduro, having a beer with awesome scenery and mates
  23. Gumtree, Hub... why would you need anything else for 2nd hand
  24. very weird... must be the cable routing supplying power to the light causing some magnetic disturbance, but I would think cellphones or HR monitors would have bigger influence. -make sure cables are straight en not curled up, or turned around frame. -They should cross as little as possible and avoid running them in parallel with another cable with current you might have on your bike. Dont have a light, but know a bit about how current in cables can cause interference.
