26'er... Come join me for a few trails in Eden/paradyskloof, some lekker single tracks to test your new bike on.

Im currently using one of my old pis-pots, but its getting to hot and my Bell XC helmet just keeps on moving around. Think a full face is just a bit much, so I was looking at this shape of helmets, much like the 661 Recon. Are these helmets a gimmick or do they work proper good? Anyone out there use them or use similar helmets? My riding basicly consist of riding flat areas, pushing hills and nailing single tracks/ sweet sections/ Drops. My new intense have been with me now since Thursday... but will only post the pics, when I get my rear wheel back. Need to covert my Nukeproof BMX type hub to fit the frame. They machining the axle smaller, don't know if its been done before, but I scheme it will work?? anyone know. Been riding with another rear wheel so long. Have to say it descends like a beast!!! This is my first real Full sus, only used to ride street/urban type hardtails.. .shouldve changed over a long time ago, MUCH more fun... Now I want a DH rig aswell

My weight... 100kg, 25kg of it's extra., bike weight, secondary. Can lose two bikes if I get fit again..

Why do they try and make it official? I just used to ride in with shovel and pik, and sharpen things up. I'll reserve my comments on the municipality... if they had their way, it would,ve been a gholf course (3rd one in one suburb, wtf)..

Been hitting the trails/singletracks hard again the last week, since I got a bike again. Few of the trails need some repairs after the rains, and maybe some jumps over the fallen trees. Seen fallen tree with some sweet prospects. Used to build there around 2001-2004, some of my handy work is still standing, but most of my old friends got jobs and not around. So looking for the guys that currently build there, if there is any??? Was thinking of doing some work before summer starts hardening the clay.

Get a friend that knows his bikes, there are some sweet 2nd hand deals out there. At the Boord in Stellenbosch are some jumps, as you enter from strand. Helped building there about 8-9 years ago. Drive past them everyday, but they look a bit warn out. Should be good for staring, also a few tables in between,to get the confidence up without the gap. And then also in eden at the Old shooting range there are some small rythms/jumps me and my mates built while I was in school. No need to worry about casing on them, they're as hard as rock, haha

Most BMX'rs, Dirtjumpers and Downhill guys dont use takkies like salomans. We are hard on our shoes, so know what works.

Get some sneakers, like Vans. Make sure it has a hard sole and the patern on the sole, waffle grid. DC skate shoes are to fat and dont really give the support. Currently have Kustom's with this sole, but will see how long the last. My Ideal though, old school VMX flat shoes. Just came from the shop, waiting on my reducer headset, so by wednesday.. cant wait, Still dont know if its going to be a fullsus jump bike or AM bike... but like my small frames

They going to steal it where ever. Best is to get a cheap bike and ride it in. expect it to get stolen. 7 bikes of mine have been stolen in Stellenbosch. If you have an bike worth more than R4000, leave it at home.

I still love seeing jappies on their "Rich" bikes... and their silly coments like, No Way you can bunnyhop without clipless. Or as soon as as their speed drop below 5Kph, they fall over or start wobbling! Guys like these keep our biking shops alive and allow guys like me to buy the good stuff for next to nothing second hand

I still cant believe what i'm hearing, I might have been out of MTB'ing for a while, but didnt know it got this soft! In Western Cape, you wont be able to ride whole winter if your worried bout your parts getting hurt.

What!? muddy riding is the most fun you can have! Rather ride my parts into its chops than missing out om some sweet wet single tracks. Riding a Xt/Saint mix at the moment.

Been riding now again for a month. Doing some trails in eden and having few urban sessions in town. If anyone is keen to join, give me a shout. Dont mind what you ride BMX,Trials, DJ, just keen for some other inputs and safer to fall with a buddy that can still work a phone.

I also have a friend with size 13's, he only gets van's in that size
